Depends on who you are targeting but shouldn't you be able to do

Rankine - > Rookie
Noble - > Premium
Simpson - > Premium

appears to plenty of viable options in the $ 450-500k bracket
Problem I have is I've got my 6 Premium defenders, 2 Rucks and 5 forwards (4 + D Smith). Only have the 5 mids.

So really I need to get Mids, and not sure I can get 2 for $500k (maybe Cripps and another)

All 3 of those you listed I can probably squeeze some more cash from as well

ok Noble - > Watson

Let's see

Cripps + Billings/Boak/Shuey

some are keen that Sier can go 90+

or a $ 600k mid + $ 400k forward

swing D Smith to the mids

Simpkin

get adventurous and take a ride with JJK , Darling , Big O , Balta etc

plenty of options available

maybe we get even more trades to then sideways them

I guess it then becomes a equation between squeezing extra $$$ or gaining extra points

He's referring to Will Walker from North, not Taylor.

I'm happy to pay a premium for Tobe Watson after a price rise, but I'm not willing to spend 150k+ on a 2nd rookie - ruling Will Walker out for me.

Is Schoenberg the best of the cheaper rookies this week?
Bit of a guessing game with Shoenberg, but I can't see why they won't continue to play him. Scored 59 with 12 possies, 2 tackles, no clangers and only 70% TOG. Upside too with 58 DE.

I wish they'd play Davis. He's been hanging around on my forward bench since round 1. Others have overtaken him by the looks, can't even get a gig as an emergency.

North Melb.
Surprised for the lack of love for Shuey this week:

- Take out injury-affected 33 in R5, and he's averaging 110.5 from his other 6 games
- Already had his BYE
- B/E of only 45 (only played 2 games since injury game, scored 130 and 116)
- Oh yeah, and he's only $488k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Am I missing something?
He will come under serious consideration for me. Outside of Neale (who I have) it doesn’t seem the year to target the high priced mids as they have all had their patches of mediocrity.

Possibly also put Macrae in that category now (who I also own) however he was average early and the return of Dunkley could still affect him.

Love your work Herbie. Given me a bit to think about in the next 24 hours!

Can maybe swing Cripps+Simpkin+Watson

Round 11

Current plans are as follows, hopefully no surprises at selection over the coming days...

Devon Smith ---> Tom Mitchell
Harley Bennell ---> Patrick Cripps
Brandon Starcevich ---> Tobe Watson

Will weight up who is best to trade out, Bennell may survive if I can get the trades (and future trades) done by maybe moving on McHenry.
Will toss up Cripps vs Shuey also. Could do with Close keeping his spot and making some more cash, and Darcy Cameron getting a recall.

Burned me in previous years so would rather go gaff or yeo-yeo.

For me it's when I compare to Cripps, they're both at the bottom of their price range, but Cripps upper range is a. 600-650k player, whereas Shueys top range is 550-600k.

Doesn't mean that he doesn't blow that away in the next 6 weeks, and Cripps just continues in as a 480k player, but I think most would have had Cripps in their sights at the start of the year, whereas Shueys wouldn't have had that same appeal.

Certainly worth consideration though, especially if you feel the need to look for a POD.

The elite top end has the potential to destroy someone who has cheaped out on budget premium mids in a single week though. You only have to look back 2 weeks ago when Josh Kelly (195), Oliver (177), Macrae (169) & Neale (152) all put up massive scores.

Personally, I'm looking to add Mitchell & Fyfe over the next 2 weeks to join Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Dangerfield, Duncan & Cripps in my midfield.
