Just noticed something sweet, if you are like me and have one trade left this week, you can wait until Wednesday night and know for certain if Wicks is playing before GCS/Dons rookies lock out.

Thinking I might go Hibberd/Budarick to Wicks if their services are not required on field. Nice little head start going into round 12.
Now that's one advantage of this condensed fixturing...great observation.(y)

Pity, I've used up all my 3 trades already...:(

Have 1 trade left for the round, with plan of bringing Titch in.

However, I'm still wondering how valuable Sier might be. Could bring Sier in this Round and Titch next Round.

Possibly one trade too many to then upgrade him later. Could also use the cash to upgrade to a keeper quicker...

Still niggling at me though. Will have to do the maths later.

(Edit: Just a cursory look at prices BEs and projections probably makes it a fanciful move... )

For me, it depends on what # Titch will be in your MID. For example, if he's going to be your 7th MID, then I would say pass on Sier as you're less likely to need his points on-field and it's better for you to target a base Rookie instead to generate cash. If however, you have more than 3 spots left to upgrade in your MID, then I can see the merit in going Sier as he provides both points on-field & potential to generate decent cash if he can sustain his recent output.

FWIW I was also deliberating on this exact scenario and decided to take Titch in the end as he was going to be my 7th MID, I do however also have Serong who looks to be hitting Rowell-like form of late.

I’m looking at Serong as a similar move (but am also grabbing Titch). Serong $ 70 k dearer but still has a negative BE, less than 10 % ownership and bye out of the way (although i’d expect he may get managed or a low TOG game sometime).

Plan would be to sit him at M8 for the next 2 rounds of 22 and then decide where i need the cash.

Titch would be M6, after I swing Whitfield Fwd, so I would still be two Premo/Keepers short in the mids.
Also have 1 Fwd to go to upgrade Thinking about Walters when he's back.
8 trades before this one:

I'll take Titch with your final trade this round, bye-free, has as high a ceiling than anyone & soon to be $600K+. I'm assuming you're using Simpson to get him...

I would then prioritise your final FWD upgrade over your remaining 2 MIDs as you're more exposed on that line with Geodue/Cameron/Davis. Maybe look at Woodcock if he's still in the team for R12 as his stock have risen from that last game coupled with the injury to Rozee, should get a decent run of 3-4 games IMO.

Either way, you should have a few Rookie options available for you to DG whichever way you choose to go.

The other 'positive' I see with your current team is that you only have 7 of your Premiums who've yet to have a BYE. I believe that to be at the lower end of the norm and that should be to your team's advantage once the R14+ draw is released.

As an example, my team is comparative to yours with regards to the # of upgrades to go...but I currently have 11 Premiums yet to have their BYE. If I was to guess, most active teams would carry around 10 Premiums still to have their bye.

Was going to use Cameron, but seeing Simpson is out I'll consider that. Pity I couldn't see the Pies team before the Geelong game starts.
I think keep Cameron for now if you can afford to as I feel that he may possibly have a couple of games left, plus will be useful when you're ready to cash out Draper by saving you having to DG to a RUC donut.

Well spotted mate. I have been concentrating on that since it became apparent to me how much carnage the unknown byes would be. Hence, Titch and Walters on the radar next couple of rounds too. Not compromising on quality, but making sure I have as much post-bye players and coverage as possible, trying to limit players from same team. ie. Held Sicily, and only brought in Stewart, not Duncan etc. Anyway, thanks for your help. Appreciated.

Hi all. Would appreciate any thoughts on opinions on who would be a better trade in option for Hamill out of Sholl & Ruscoe.
Who has the better perceived job security? Any Crows or Pies fans have any strong views on either of these players? Is it even worth trading out Hamill for either of them and maybe just hold off?

The two trades i have made this round have been pretty vanilla, Bennell to Schoenberg & M.King to Simpkin (dissappointing debut).

Thanks for any help and good luck to all.

I'm tossing up Sholl & Ruscoe as well, but trading out Mcasey. Most of the talk is about Sholl but leaning towards Ruscoe for his mid/def flexibility as I have Rivers and Starc (who I'll trade out next week). Ruscoe is cheaper too.

I think they probably have the same scoring capability, although Ruscoe is playing forward and Collingwood are playing Adelaide this week so he may boot a couple of goals. It's probably a roll of the dice on who holds their spot after this round.

I like Laird but I just get the feeling that trading Lloyd out will come back to bite me. Can I gain enough points from that move when compared to all the points I will lose from Lloyd vs. Laird?
Did you end up selecting R Laird?

With Doedee going down I’m gonna go

Pickett > Wicks
Aarts > Greenwood
Doedee > Z Williams

Could go Saad instead of Williams but that means four Essendon players (Dev, Ridley and
Zerrett too)
