I don't think it impacts overall at all. all players have a bye. all scores count. week off is for league is my interpretation
Yes the week off is for leagues. And all players have a bye. But those that trade out a Bailey Smith for example, that round to a premium who has already had their bye are going to benefit overall with an extra premium score.

In terms of leagues yes. But for those up there in the rankings (not me unfortunately) it could have a massive impact
I'm seeing it as an opportunity to climb the rankings. I have 5 players from those clubs atm, which is probably not too bad compared to others. Hopefully I can take advantage of it.

Hmm as someone in with a shot at overall i need to understand this carefully... is the below right?

3 extra trades totaling 37 for the year.
Rounds14, 15, 16: 3 trades allowed
Round 15 is a league bye BUT STILL COUNTS FOR OVERALL???

Or is 15 a total bye with scores not adding to overall totals at all...

Either way F you Houston, it has not been a pleasure :mad::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Struggling to find a good fwd slingshot option.

Brayshaw/Walters would be nice to have but cash definitely doesn’t allow flicking BSmith or Rankine to either of them.

Simpkin and Greenwood offer value but have the terrible R15 bye.

Jezza Cameron or Greene maybe. Greene doesn’t offer much value at 500k.

Thinking of just holding Rankine and BSmith. Rankine especially may be able to hit a 100-110 during the byes.

I'll meet ya half way, Big O has a very reasonable bye, and is a very good buy, just doesn't fit the slingshot. With all these trades just keep going.

Big O’s bye still isn’t great. It’s the all important first week of finals (provided you make it). Would probably rather keep Rankine for that round than take Big O! Potentially a sideswap option in R15 though but again will be pricey by then.... has Grundy in R15 too.

The 2 that I considered this week were Wingard and Fisher. Ultimately went for Walters due to the extra trades and best 18 weeks but I don’t mine either of the former 2, especially Wingard. Couple of rough weeks for the Hawks with WC and Port the next 2 but not a bad run home after that.

Fisher maybe not a viable option but I just really like him as a player and wouldn’t mind cheering him on every week 😂

Brayshaw/Walters for mine, but use 1 or more downgrades prior to round 15 to fund it. Even if it leaves you weak in a position best 18 means trying to get the best scorers into your team.

Fisher is one I considered this week, 80 in R1 and 96 in his return game. Not bad for under 400K. Didn't select him, but could be one worth a punt.

yeah, agree about first week of finals. Looking to move Gawn to either Goldy, Nic Nat or Big O.

Preference feels like Nic Nat despite compressed schedule will likely see some TOG reduction and maybe a break, hopefully round 15. Has an easier run in Hawks, GWS, Richmond, Essendon (league bye), Bulldogs, Saints, North.

Goldy now bye free for league finals, midfield issues seem to be dragging his scoring towards 100. Has Lions, Pies, Suns, Port, Freo, WCE.

Big O has bye in league finals 1, has North, Saints, bye (w1 finals), Pies (league bye), Suns, Swans Carlton. Has done well against Essendon, Richmond and Bulldogs who do give up points.

Nic Nat allows me to get Petracca this week for Mahoney. any thoughts on ruck choices welcome.

I’m desperate...if I get any sort of suggestion/inkling/impression/press conference that Nick Blakey will stay in the middle of the ground, I’m bringing him in.

He does intrigue me. Looked pretty good on the eye test, touch tall at 195cm, not quite as strong as Cripps below the knee's. Horse cannot be trusted, however, his post game comments suggested this could be a permanent move (for now). Pretty disappointing as it moved Wicks off the ball and he did not meet the eye test at HF flank. Wish I had watched the prior game he played.

Low TOG, DE% average and CP 30%.

So R15 is a bye for leagues, is it confirmed finals start R14? Or could they have a 3 week finals starting R16? Apologies if covered early in the thread.
