Just on that. It would be very interesting to introduce the Utility position player. Not sure if or how it would work, but would bring another element to team structure. Would be fun I reckon.
The Utility position was brought into Fantasy this year at the expense of having 2 x ruck benches, a damn good thing too. Essentially plonking a DPP rookie in that position that you can then elect to cover in one of the DP's. Was handy when there were no DPP's to swing with. Either used as a FD or later in the year with a player for decent cover. The TPP would enhance things even more

Perfect blend of consistency with growth improvement
Will sacrifice the forwardline as its so hard to nail the top 6 early. Always people coming from nowhere

I forget how the discounts usually work but the number may need to be smaller next season with the shorter season in 2020. 6/23 is roughly ~25% so on similar logic, maybe the 2021 trigger is 4 or less games
I will leave the discounts to the experts to work out and just providing a approximate price.

In the past it has been players playing 7 or less games that have received a discount , so yes they may make adjustments next season due to the shortened season.

I would like to see two extra positions added. Team Defence and Team Attack. Basically you choose a team eg Pies for defence. Your score for Team Defence is then the total of every player that is listed as a pure defender only (no d/m). Does not matter where they actually play on the day just what position in SC they hold. You can trade to another team any time like any other player. You could have different teams for attack and defence.

Geeelong for Defence and Brisbane for attack.

It’s a fun suggestion but what exactly is the point of that over the traditional player selections? I understand it works for NFL but I’m not sure it transfers to AFL.

Some interesting points made.

One thing that I was pondering yesterday - I know some excellent players almost always start the dearest players on each line.

Can anyone in this category (no need to be modest - consistent ranks at/around top 1000 would qualify you) say whether they do this even if a player is overpriced in their view?

If so, how much are you willing to overpay by before you change tack?
