@Herbie66 you know that I like to come up with a two players per team side each year to use as my skeleton team, and take my early focus off the DGR teams, so here is this years team for your perusal!

If I stick to my rules and allow just three changes prior to round one, and keep at least one player from each team ... I think Marsh, Khawaja and Tye could possibly make way for a couple of Stars and a Cane or Striker.

What would you do? 16.4K left in bank.

I think I will adopt it as my own side 😀

Quite like the look of that side.

Like the Khawaja pick (even if his record at MO is terrible) , like the Tye pick.

But you probably need 2 more Stars & 1 more Hurricane so probably those 3 you mentioned out unfortunately.

I have 8 of those players in my side at present.

Was originally going for a Dunk/Gotch and Handscomb/McDermott WK setup but after seeing a few projected XI’s I’m beginning to think it many not be such a great idea. I think there’s a very real possibility that all of them bat outside the top four and therefore won’t score enough to warrant selection even with their doubles.

So have switched a few things around and am currently running with Phillipe and Holt on the WK line with Harper in BAT. Depending on how things pan out in the first two games of the round, Holt could become Gilkes but I think that’s unlikely.

I guess I could revert back to picking one of the ‘Canes keepers at the expense of Harper if either of them are named in the top four batsmen. Think it’s unlikely that Gotch or Dunk will end up in my team though.

Think your going to need a playing bench player, even if its the one dual position player you can maneuver to BAT or BWL.

Would you still pick Harper if he doesn't open the batting? I've just changed Harper to Philippe myself. The WKP position is the toughest I feel.

If your on field players all play, you'll be smashing it.

Good luck

Right, so I was like two hours to late with the feedback. Damn napping.
Thanks for the come-back lefty.......................

Would I still keep Sammy Harper if he didn't bat early ?...........................nope mate, and I agree with most, Josh Phillipe is or could be super in BBL 10. Josh Inglis same after what I watched of him last BBL. Nic Pooran could be special here too in the spot but too late here. He would have been my team anchor until I was given some super info on his starting dates on here.................and that's without mentioning Jonny B for the Stars.

Prob's $$$'s as you know early.....................impossible most teams you want first up.

Not hard to see I'm trying to get players that will definitely play.....................and trying to maximise scoring thru doubles. And you and others are spot on, insurance on the bench is a major upgrade in my team that I'd neglected.

I might try to juggle Dan Christian into the mix as a back-up benchy ?? Pretty sure he'll play a solid sixers role early on.

Glen Maxi is probably my weakest link..........................not guaranteed a bowl, Stoinis gets going alone and Maxi may not bat..........where's Larkin going to slot in ?? Maybe I'll drop him out today and Sammy H and play around with what's left.........Maxi has a decent breakeven number too against him......................first round's a Stars double though.................risk it, don't risk it....................geez....lol

Ahhhhh, it's all great fun..............I finished in the top 2% @ my first go last year..........so it's all down hill from here lol...........

......thanks Lefty, all the best this year mate

Hi mate

Hopefully you are all set for another Big Bash season.

Just wondering , if you could give me a rough idea of what McDermott would need to be averaging after 5 rounds to get to :-

$ 125,000.00
$ 150,000.00

in time for a Round 6 trade.

Cheers and good luck for your season.

Interesting seeing people with Scorchers & Thunder players in their starting XI's.

Assuming (like I have) that the likes of RK19 (until it is confirmed when he is leaving) , Short , Stoinis are season long keepers once in my side who I will field each round does that limit you then in Round 6 to how many Sixers/Renegades you will have onfield from 8 to 6 or would the plan be to move the Scorcher/Thunder players bench for that round.

Keep looking at the likes of Behrendorff , Khawaja & Tye etc and whether I should start them regardless of when their DGR is.

Given their are currently 13 Renegade/Sixers players priced at $ 150k + (incl Abbott , Pattinson , Starc) might be impossible to buy 6 of them by Round 6 let alone a desired 8.

I am currently starting Inglis and Khawaja. Dorf, Milne, Green and Tye are in consideration.

But by no means does that mean they are set and forgets.

If they have a couple good games early (particularly the value guys) I would cash in on that.

Or if better options emerge, I’ll look to switch them.

Yep ... all set to go ...

48 and 59 pts respectively will probably get him in the ball park

Thanks for that.

Do like Behrendorff , Khawaja , Milne (maybe) & Tye.

Can't fit them all in though.

I guess with their relatively low starting prices they could be a corrective trade in Round 3 if needed.

Reasonably settled on 7 of my starting XI just looking at different combinations for those final 4 positions.

Not 100% sold we need 2 playing bench players on Bat & Bowl lines to start with , might take 6-8 rounds to make significant $$$ and probably not looking to downgrade anyway , more sideways 3 players onfield in and out each round.

Prob now how I wanted it in the end but hope you guys (and girls) find it helpful.

If I find time over the next few days I will add some stuff here that didn't make the file.
This is sensational, I saw this post Monday and have just had time to open it now.
Awesome work mate, above and beyond. Thanks so much for sharing.
How good is this site when members can share such valuable information and help each other out.
