Disappointed that it sounds like M Nabi and Z Khan will miss their 1st game, as I was looking forward to starting both. They are currently replaced by C Lynn and A Zampa with the spots currently held by Lynn, Ellis, Parker and Dunk the most likely to change between now and the start of the season.

Hmmm I was quite happy with my team but looks very similar to a lot that are being posted. Considering it's a game with such high variance it's funny that the players we pick from seems to get whittled down to a very small pool. Just the nature of the DGW structure I guess. Like usual I guess the trick is picking the right few select spots to go against the grain.

History says being different for the sake of being different isn't a good thing.
The DGR structure this season will contribute to more early same ish teams imho

Play again was his words.

Not sure on Alex's medical background 😁
but he'd be in the know internally imo
Thanks for that.

Hopefully CA give us some clarity before Round 1.

Be nothing worse if he is named to play as a batsmen only , spuds it up the first game , aggravates something and misses the second game and I have made him captain.

Could be a loss of 125 - 150.

Or he is right to go as a batsmen and dominates both games.

Don't think I would be interested in Dunk , Gotch or Larkin so.pissibky a chance to get a Sixer/Renegade early.

I can't see too many not picking Short , Stoinis , Maxwell & NCN.

Not all will be keen on Meredith and/or Faulkner.

Depending who they have as WK could determine whether they go with Zampa.

And 1-2 Strikers on the bench could limit onfield options.

Jacks will be interesting , seen comments by people that they are reluctant to start Inglis/Philippe yet Jacks is not much different in price and unknown at this level.

Probably end up with 3-4 different spots onfield to be that much of a difference.

Suspect Round 2 sides will be even more closer.

Hilton is in my team so I am hoping he opens.

Larkin is a funny one , nothing flashy but can get the job done occasionally.

Think Dunk's best BBL days are long gone to be honest.

They almost need to introduce the IPL draft when you look at some of the young talent that might not get games eg Davies , J Edwards , Fraser-McGurk , Harvey etc yet people like Christian , Cooper , Dunk etc are on lists

Bit rough to lump in Christian in with Cooper and Dunk considering how many T/20 competitions he’s helped win around the world. Regardless of his SC volatility, the bloke is a winner and a great guy to have in and around the squad. Didn’t hear people complaining when Hogg and Hodge were in their 40’s and still playing BBL.

He has been a very successful T20 around the world , but I think his best (consistent) days are behind him.

Talk of so many talented youngsters there are around at the moment , they need to be given opportunities at this level sooner rather than later to see if they then can develop to the National level.

Actually had a few beers with DC in Broken Hill just when he became the $ 900,000.00 IPL man , very down to earth bloke.

BBL might catch on to the IPL mid season draft in 3-4 seasons , seems to be the way.

After an incredible 13th-placed finish in SuperCoach AFL, Mike Hussey has set his sights on KFC SuperCoach BBL glory.

The Aussie cricket great was one of the top AFL SuperCoaches in Australia, finishing 59 points outside the top-10 in a competition with more than 160,000 registered coaches.

“In summer there’s just been plenty of banter between the commentators,” Hussey said.

“Isa Guha is a very competitive SuperCoach player and takes it pretty seriously.

“She’s already flicked me through her team and her team is looking pretty good.

“She’s probably the one to watch, she won our league the first year we played.”

Hussey has gone for the formula many KFC SuperCoaches have opted for, loading his starting team with Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes to take advantage of their early doubles.

The Stars play twice in the opening round of KFC SuperCoach and the Hurricanes share a Round 2 double with Adelaide Strikers.

“Stars heavy and then I also wanted to look ahead a little bit,” Hussey said.

“I tried to get a couple of Hurricanes in there as well, obviously with the Strikers being on the bye first round.

“But I was keen to have one Striker on the bench and then in Round 2 I’ll look to get two or three Strikers in.

“It probably does look a little bit too Stars heavy at the moment but I’m sure that will work itself out in the first few rounds.”

Hussey tossed up between Josh Inglis and Josh Philippe for his wicketkeeping role before settling on the Perth Scorchers gloveman due to his impressive start to the summer.

“I was looking at other keepers but a lot of them aren’t going to be available for the first few rounds,” he said.

“I was keen on (Jonny) Bairstow but obviously he’s not going to be there.

“I just thought the way Inglis played last year was superb and he’s got off to a really good start in the Sheffield Shield season as well.

“He should bat at the top of the order while (Liam Livingstone and Jason Roy) are away.”

Stars gloveman Seb Gotch (15 per cent of teams) only averaged 20.9 points last season, but Hussey is keen to capitalise on his Round 1 double.

“Ordinarily Gotch would be on my wicketkeeping bench and (Ben) McDermott would be playing,” he said.

“But just because he’s on the double, if he can contribute once that’d be really handy.

“(Hilton) Cartwright, I’m hoping he’s going to bat in the top three so hopefully there’s a good opportunity for a score in him there.

“It just comes down to balancing out the money.”

Australian one-day and T20 skipper Aaron Finch is the other player in Hussey’s plans, but he hasn’t been able to fit him into his initial budget.

Hogg & Hodge were still playing well enough at that age to be in the Australian T20 side , I am.sure their was serious talk about Hogg especially being picked for one of the T20 World Cups.

Any word if Malan is leaving South Africa tomorrow after the final T20 night ?

I know Archer , S Curran & Stokes are returning to the UK.

Just wonder if Jordan & Malan are leaving as well.

All five are not part of the ODI Squad.
