Had Hughes last year, started great, then lost his nerve with shot selection. Had him in previously and could swap him in again for Sutherland if he's in Aus A.
I think Hughes got his ambitions mixed up with his capabilities , talk of higher honours affected his game.

Just needs to go back to playing no fuss solid cricket shots.

Gets back to the basics , think he is a solid 35-40 ppg player.

Yeah another week of tinkering to go. I think Prestwidge has some upside, hopefully more opportunities with the ball, until I saw your post about Heat players transferring to the Gades, lol. Owen is just there atm as a placeholder and dgr, Holt is my designated donut, but may change to the new recruit at the Heat. Not a fan of Turner, so won't go there. Sutherland again a placeholder until I find some other options. I really want Rashid on my bench, so I don't have to compromise my team to get him in, rather get it done now. These new rules and subs are doing my head in, let alone which o/s players are coming and completing their quarantine.
Think by rd 3 or 4 alot of teams will have Sutherland, Henriques types on the bench as E. Both teams play early in these rounds so its possible to loop benchies. All in preparation for Gades and Sixers dbl game in rd 6.

Loving how you dont have a stock standard team and go about this game. Good luck Professor.

Thanks and good luck to you too, I see your not afraid of making pod selections too. I think when it gets closer to game time, a lot of teams may have at least 7/11 selections the same and it's the next couple that will make you or break you. Predicting lineups will be difficult this year and it will be timing of selections and hoping to have available cash to upgrade or stuck when player values decrease, thus forcing a compromised trade of a player that was next best option.

Conversation starter.

Not including D'Arcy, who is the 1st picked SGP in your team.

I have Khawaja as a must have, closely followed by Finch. Dare to be different, I know. 🙄
U Khawaja as well for me.

Player of his calibre available under $120,000 represents minimal risk, can be held throughout the season, integral part of the Thunder’s batting lineup (and their potential success) and doesn’t throw his wicket away whilst rotating the strike and maintaining a high strike rate.

Also, his first game is at Manuka. Largish ground. His ability to play both sides. Actually buzzing for this to start. Love cricket and hope SC is nice to me for once.

Arguably not my first picked SGR given his price, but Christian is the only one I’m really interested in picking to play on field. Looks like a fallen premium to me.

I might be looking at this the wrong way , but I would be staggered if people are prioritising brining in Sutherland as one of their Renegade players.

Certainly confusion over their OS spinners but surely people would be still targeting them along with the likes of Finch , Marsh , Roussow , Richardson etc

Similarly with the Sixers surely priority has to be given to Brathwaite , Curran , Dwarshuis , Philippe etc.

Certainly Sutherland has potential and is cheap but not sure he will be such a viable trade in option.

I could be completely wrong too.
