What's your take on Hunter?
Will he play regularly this year?
Hmmm I would have to think about that one. I'm not sure if another dogs supporter has done a dogs best 22 or not - if not i will make one. But I believe he is in our best 22.

Is he a pure midfielder or does he get run in roles?

I think he will play majority of his time off the half forward and play stints in the midfield. He could be one to look at with the interchange cap because the mids are expected to rest in the forward line. Personally after hearings reports from dogs website, i would pick him if i had the $$$ but look at his nab cup (thing) performances

His price of 284K is quite attractive considering the top end rookies are around the 260K mark.

He played later in the season then our other rookies but showed great composure in all his games. coming into his 2nd full preseason and with the great wraps being a father-son pick, I would look into him.

I'm starting to warm to getting Franklin in my team for Rd 1.
The Swans paid him a $1m a year to provide another avenue of attack and kick plenty of goals.

Yes for a player who started last year priced over $600k Franklin seems like a good deal. Especially seeing his ability to post a 110 plus average in 2011-2012.

Yeah agree. I can't really see anyone losing on a Buddy pick. Maybe breakeven at worse but barring a catastrophe, he'll be able to at least maintain his price.

A little off topic but read an interesting article on how Buddy is getting paid where he
will be paid at the low end in the first two seasons of 2014 and 2015, when he receives about $700,000 a year, but it rises to around $1.2m in the third season (2016) and remains at approximately $1.2m in both years four (2017) and five (2018).

Buddy's remuneration then rises further in the sixth, seventh and eighth years, before dropping to roughly a million dollars in the ninth and final year, by which stage Franklin will be 36 years of age. He is due $1.3m in the sixth year (2019), $1.4m in 2020 and is contracted to get close to $1.5m - expected to be more than 10 per cent of the salary cap even then - in 2021, when he will be 35.

I hear you! Struggling as well. In fact all of F3 to F8 I have little confidence in at the moment. Along with R3 these have been the hardest positions I have found to select. I am hoping that a couple of sub 150k players reveal themself over the Nab Cup.

If none do then I may be forced to rethink my overall structure.
Yeah pretty much. I'm on the rather vanilla Danger, Martin, Buddy, Pav, RRRR structure at the moment but I can already see myself jumping on anyone up to $250k who shows any type of preseason... which funnily enough is what i've set my self not to do after the Harper/Karnezis disaster of 2013.

Thoughts on J Cameron anyone?
Too awkwardly priced for mine in Supercoach.
Outstanding talent who really held his own in a losing team and not to mention, it was only his second season! Still think he needs to time to develop and let others around him develop as well. He might be worth considering in 2 years time?

Has anyone spotted any value in a FORWARD from ROUND 9, the forwards look the most difficult during the bye rounds
