Merry Christmas everyone - consider this a slightly belated Christmas gift. It's still Christmas Day in most parts of the world anyway!

I have used the data that @Beg2Differ provided a few days ago to create a team picker for all of those who don't have SuperCoach Plus access. I put this team picker together in a few hours tonight, and it seems to work OK based on testing with a few of the teams posted here, with remaining budget matching etc. I'm not guaranteeing this picker is completely error free, and it is not quite as high a standard as I would like (boxes not aligned nicely, cell formatting etc), but it should do the job.

https://www.mediafire.com/file/7iezky72rtstrl8/2021_Team_Picker.xlsx/file

Let me know if there are any major issues with the spreadsheet, or if you can't work out how to enter your team etc, but I've tried to make it as straight forward as possible.

Just messing around with the team selection.

Sloane is tempting as is Taranto.

Is anyone else thinking with many of the top MIDS a little inflated, maybe selecting guys like Mitchell Cripps Taranto T.Kelly Sloane Hately.

Gives me four Premiums in the DEF with Milera at D5

Some good cheap options in FWD Line.

It won’t look pretty on Paper ........but.......

The first three you’ve listed absolutely. The next three not so much for me.

It’s a good question.

Mitchell and Cripps are the only premo mids that I really want to pick.

I currently have them alongside Oliver (possibly overpriced but super reliable, young) and Macrae (possible role risk but otherwise a very reliable 120 player) and a mid-pricer.

I’ve considered putting an M-F premo in the mids as well.

The def rookies are usually pretty good, so you could potentially even consider Laird in the mids to even up your structure.

My mid atm is Neale, Oliver, Mitchell and big boy rowell. My experience in SuperCoach is you pick these players between 350k and 500k they will burn you. To up and down rarely they are keepers by end of year. But in saying that I see a bit of value in Heppell (if fit) at 319k. If he can get to 500k his done his job.

I mainly created this for myself to have an off-line team picker, as I mainly use my phone for the internet, thought I would share it. Hopefully a few of you get some use out of it.
Good on you! Personally I have Gold, but I know that a lot of people don’t, and that a picker can be very handy for those who still want to make an early start.

Personally I do a lot of my early thinking at this time of year, with prices and positions released, time off work, and the cricket on the tell!

Hehe - hopefully great minds. Rowell would probably be my next mid in, which is very contrary to my initials expectation. His injury game brought his price down to a level where he could jag a gig.

Heppell is my current M5.

From my initial look through, you can put together a pretty strong team of players drafted from the last 3-4 years. Rucks are maybe not ideal, but lots of good kids to pick from.

@Herbie66

Do I dare start with no forwards over $460,000 again?
hahaha

advice from me ? during the Test

was it a success last season ?

I guess it depends on how many of Hutchings , Kelly , Macrae , Cockatoo , Laurie , Rowe etc are named Round 1.

I am sure the likes of Tom Tom , Buddy , Curnow (injured again) , Thomas , Brown , JZ , Joey , Impey etc will get many mentions over the next few months.

But look at Danger , Sidey , Dunkley , Marshall , Dusty , Son Son , Zorko & Heeney you could nearly start all of them and not have to worry.

But a Hately or a Hepple is so tempting at M6.

First look at the team picker today, Wonder how many 1000's of changes occur to over the next few months.

R Laird, T Stewart, Z Williams, J Lukosius, 123k, 123k. (123k, 117k.)

L Neale, T Mitchell, N Fyfe, M Rowell, D Heppell, A Perkins, 123k, 123k. (123k, 123k, 117k.)

B Grundy, R Marshall. (J Treacy.)

P Dangerfield, J Dunkley, S Bolton, I Heeney, J Ugle-Hagan, N Cockatoo. (123k, 123k.)

Roughly 4.5k left, haha.

I remember being very impressed by him early in his career, and thinking he could be a lock when Sandi handed over the reins.

Interestingly his SC scores show no real improvement, although I’m not sure if that is representative or not.

Maybe @freowho or @The Experiment can shed some light?
Can't shed more light but no from me because of poor game count and bad price.
