Watched it yesterday before the opening BBL match and during the innings break. Very funny and a must watch for the avid cricket fans or those who usually tune into the Back Page.

A harsh call, but Smith's screamers over the years overshadow the sitters (for international cricket) that he has dropped, of which there has been a few.

That is a very good record that Starc has put together. I remember wondering whether he’d manage to take wickets at a good average in Tests after an expensive start, but since “breaking out” in 2015, his worst yearly average is 33. His next highest is only 26, which is outstanding.

I think this type of thing happens a lot. I used to have a theory that Bevan had lost Australia quite a few matches, but the ones he won got all the focus.

Let’s hope so, apparently our win percentage rises from something like 27% to 53% with him in the side!

I heard today that batting hadn’t been the issue for a while, I believe it was fielding. A couple of quick runs is good to see though.

Makes sense since changing direction in the field is the most dynamic movement he’ll have to make.
