It's interesting re OS signings.

Do you get the young player keen to make a mark on the world stage and trying to get noticed for a IPL contract (and therefore have to perform consistently) or do you go for those players whose International careers are over , coming to a end and probably have nothing to prove anymore.

Do they really 100% care over a 14 game season , it's almost a been their/done that type of attitude , oh well theirs another game in 2-3 days.

8/596

Played: M Stoinis (C), D Short, A Hales, J Wildermuth, T Sangha, R Khan, M Nabi and A Carey.
Yet to play: D Christian, J Philippe and J Inglis

D Short the only player to score below 40 so far. M Marsh and J Behrendorff benched and unable to loop either so hopefully they do not go large and both post a respectable score in excess of 35.
Wow, what a difference having stoinis as Captain makes... I traded in Short for Fergusson and have MMarsh instead of Inglis... but that’s a 160 point difference thanks to Stoinis

or someone that still has it and a bit more. Gades need another Kane. Yes Williamson.
Good luck getting NZ agreeing to that.

I remember 10+ years ago Fleming always wanted a North Island and South Island team in the Sheffield Shield to strengthen NZ cricket.

Imagine instead of 2 Melbourne & Sydney sides they did that for Big Bash.

We could then send our development/fringe players over for their NZ Smash Series.

Does NZ have any other commitments? Haven't checked their schedule, surely they can spare a couple of weeks.

Next round to me screams caution thru the myriad trials and tribulations that the weather, players injured maybe ( Sams ), poor form, (Finch )
and the never ending saga of the overseas players availability amid the pandemic and bad coaching decisions. Good luck fellas and ladies.

2nd Test v Pakistan almost all over.

NZ Smash

Then the T20I'S series v Australia.

They normally don't release any of their centrally contracted players.

Phillips & Seifert are the 2 I would like to see out here.
