Feels like he’ll only be there for one round

A closer look at those scores shows that he was run out and not out. It seems like he just didn't have the opportunity yet this season.

how do we see Sams’ absence affecting the team? Probably a straight swap with Tremain or Ross depending on whether they want to strengthen bat or ball, since they don’t have any all rounders of his ilk. Neither makes Cutting much more appetising to my mind.

Without Sams, I think Ferguson, Billings and Sangha/Green come into my team.

Finch a certainty for R9, almost a straight swap for Hughes or Bazley or similar nuffies- unreal

That's a good point re his batting.

They could actually miss it more than his bowling.

X-factor could be interesting if they sub a bowler for Davies/Ross.

Cutting , I remember when he used to be a must have for a DGR

If we still see Sams as one of the better players for the season so we have to factor into our thinking bringing him in Round 9 now ?

Round 9 - Finch , Sams , Scorcher/Star

Think I will bring in Sangha (only costs me a extra $ 110k from the start of the season 😂) , Khawaja then to use as my Bat 6 after his DGR.

Third trade no idea , might bypass Gregory & Heat altogether and find myself a Scorcher.

I think if it’s Ross that comes in for Sams then Cutting becomes very appealing as he would be likely to bowl 4 overs.

Think it’s more likely that Tremain replaces him though.

Imagine if the Thunder could get Watto to replace Sams 😀

With all the crazy new rules that make so little sense, why not? Imagine if they had a legends round where each team had to include one recently retired player and HAD to have them bat in the top 4-5 or bowl 2-4 overs. Binga at the 6ers, MJ bowling for the Scorchers, Bailey batting at Blundstone, and the sweet whispers of Watto Watto Watto in the air. They could make it a magic round where everyone plays in the same stadium over 2 days, morning and afternoon games. Imagine the revenue! Somebody get me a hotline to CA!

I worked very hard to target this round with a strong squad and the weather looks like it will undo all my best laid plans by giving me a measly 4 DGW if the Heat game gets washed out.

I like it.

Hodgey is thinking of making a comeback to be a X-factor player.

Hopefully this is the first and last season we see 2 of the new rules , don't mind the PP but would have liked to see it stay at the original 6 then the extra 2

Targeting Hales for sure. Maybe Gregory and Denly too?
Likely needs Khan, Christian and another to be traded out.
