Didn't realise I had to pick players in form. So that would mean Bancroft is now a must have next round going by this logic.
Throw the form book completely out the window.

Top 10 based on 3 Round Averages were :-

Labuschagne
Swepson
Inglis
Munro
Peirson
Heazlett
Tye
Roy
Behrendorff
Livingstone

so 4 of them might have justified being picked on form.

Maybe we should pick on opportunity , number of letters in their surname , or just hope they score well.

Certainly doesn't seem to be any reason to how/why some players are scoring what they do.

Do you think Bancroft holds his spot if Roy is available ?

However you pick your players is working for you , so keep doing what you are doing

Last 4 games

3-0-34-0
4-0-36-0
4-0-44-1
4-0-39-1

15-0-153-2

ER 10.2

2 wickets @ 76.5

maybe the Scorchers are happy with his output

Last 4 SC scores 23 , 37 , 9 , 6

SC 18.75

something definitely not right with Jhye

🤔🤔🤔
Let’s not overreact here

4 bad games after a season of being the best bowler

He will make a huge comeback against the 6ers and lead the scorchers to a famous victory

Pick players on form... and then throw form out the window. And then you state stats for last 3 rounds... (isn't that called form?:unsure::unsure:)

22 players to pick from 2 teams and you have to pick 11 and it's illogical to pick a few pods because they don't meet your logic and form? Picking pods is how you would try to climb up the ranks when you have little to choose from. You of all people should know that in a game like supercoach it requires some luck and sometimes when it pays off it's a genius move. I'm sure you've picked players and then when they have that huge score you'd call yourself a genius. But when someone else nails a pick that you didn't it's illogical?

And if Roy does come back for Bancroft, I'm obviously not going to pick a non playing player.

Only the leading wicket taker for the season. Don't pick him next round then?

Its a bit beyond me how Bancroft wasnt selected by more people really and didn't see it as that much of an out there decision at the time, knew with 3 or 4 minutes to spare that he was opening in a match that was clearly going to be rain effected, recent past numbers were pretty irrelevant as it was a totally different role, he also scored an 87 and a 59 opening in BBL8 which was the main reason I picked him.

Well done on picking POD'S that have worked then , every POD I have tried in the finals has been a miserable failure so obviously I am doing something completely wrong.

One round left so will have to come up with some new ideas and hope they work.

Richardson to me is just one of those guys that you pick so you arent going against 50% of the competition, what he scores isn't a big deal as an owner but going against him can easily cost you 100 points and completely ruin your round, plenty of players with less hurt factor to pick POD's against.

Round 16 Total = 475 (Labuschagne)
Round 15 Rank = 1,910
Overall Rank = 105 (up 9)

Overall ranking went in the right direction, Labuschagne as C was a bit of a fail, but I guess it had to happen eventually.

Really disappointing that Steketee was subbed out, surely if a player is subbed out after one over they should count as a DNP, added to the fustration is that if a DNP was recorded Ahmed (E) would have counted and added 56 points to the total. Surely it would make more sense that is Morkel was subbed in and all his points counted then the player he replaced counted as a DNP. Anyway thats as close to a Rant as you will get

The good news is top 100 is still in sight with one more week to go ;)

Well done to all with great rankings :)

Also, scored 8,0,1 and 24 off 26 and you only had about half an hour to find and analyse these stats.

350 - quite a miserable round.
Surprised I only dropped 249 spots to 1822

Had to set & forget the team before the game, so copped the Roy out, and missed Bancroft's promotion to opener.
Will be in a similar situation for the final game, so need to make some flexible choices.

Yup, agreed. My main concern was switching our Roy and taking the C off him given I was putting my kid to bed at the time! Think I put Denly in for him, but you’re right he was the obvious right play.

Good enough for no.1 for the round...Surprised no one tried it actually.
I got 517 and lost to my friend who actually did just this and picked the whole scorchers team for a laugh but went with marsh captain instead of Livingstone and unfortunately played Inglis over Bancroft for wickie, but he still finished 97th for the round

Has anyone seen what happens to SC scores if tomorrow night's game starts and ends up a NR ?

Will those points carry over to Sunday's game ? or do we start again with a clean slate and therefore can change our starting XI & Emergencies if required ?

I don't know what the specific playing conditions are here for a reserve day, but remember during the last World Cup the Ind v NZ semi final was just picked up again near the end of the first innings. So I assume that's what would happen here, the match would just continue from where it stopped, and therefore it would remain locked out.
