Match sim at training yesterday had Harmes playing on the ball and also half forward.

I still can’t see how he gets enough midfield minutes as I believe he’s behind Oliver, Trac, Viney, Brayshaw and Sparrow but encouraging signs yesterday all the same.
Thanks for the report, much appreciated. Duggan by a whisker atm.

Wish he hadn't kicked so many, was already F3 for me, seeing him be part of the mid rotation from the get go and getting on the board early was enough for me.

Shouldn't take to much from praccy games, especially intraclubs, but now his POD ownership will be blown out of the water by casual players who just see the 6 goals by a blokes that's 370k. Damn.

I love how people getting excited by a player having more mid time in a intra club practice match.

When they are playing each other doesn't it make sense they have to have 2 sets of midfielder groups ?

Suspect once the season starts Hinkley just goes back to his old faithful quartet in Boak , Gray , Rockliff , Wines.

He built Wines up on the News during the week that he is about to dominate the entire competition.

Wines is actually the Port player who interests me the most this year. Surprised how little talk there is on him to be honest.

Rocky is always a tempter as well.

I think it was the News last night , could be the best mid in the competition.

Best preseason he has in years , doesn't have to worry about the "more midfield tag".

Rockliff certainly was a different player when he came back last season , just needs to sit between the D50 & F50 and link up.

Boak is the under rated one for mine , having moved to Adelaide and watching him on TV each round , he is just a absolute machine.

Just gets the job done week after week.

No fuss , no fanfare.

Poor kicking efficiency, too expensive and Wines is only relevant for draft formats.
Poor kicking has never slowed down Fyfe, Danger, Kennedy, Oliver or Dusty.

Averaged 113 over the last 10 last year and is actually having a settled preseason for the first time in several years in what should be a strong side and is their clear #1 pure midfielder.

I actually really like him as a guy who could bump up into the 110-115 range.

Definitely reasons to not pick him but think he's a guy who should at least be discussed a bit.

Averaged 86.6 from his first 5 matches and the season average is inflated by his 189 in RD11.

Finished top 10 in total contested possessions in both 2016 and 2017 and could not muster a 100 average as well as Port featuring in the top 4 teams for average supercoach points over the last 3 seasons. Has yet to record a TOG% above 80 in his career with the highest at 77.1% in 2017.

Has an established scoring range and will continue to score within that unless he can manage to average 28+ disposals in a season which I highly doubt.

I tend to agree with you.
