Half back at Port Adelaide might be the most contested position in football.
DBJ, Houston, Burton, McKenzie, Hartlett, Jonas, Fantasia (no idea where they're playing him), Bonner, Mayes, Lienert and Goldsack have all played AFL level at the position. Assuming you've got Jones essentially in the 3rd tall with Clurey and Aliir that leaves 4 slots for the 10 I've listed and Garner, Jones and Frederick, among any others they might try there! To be fair I think they've got Fantasia as a forward, so that makes 9, but still, would be genuinely surprised if he plays early given DBJ is an actual AA, Houston is at that level and Hartlett is a very good senior player.

Wasn't saying he'd be the 3rd tall, was saying Jonas would take that leaving 4 slots for the rest. FWIW he's taller than or as tall as Sicily, Rampe, Mills, Hodge or Luke Ryan who've all gone alright in that role! To be fair, he's the same size as Jonas if the video is to be believed!
Main point though, I don't expect to see him much, if at all, this season.

Maybe Jones/Jonas is the confusing part.
Staggered seeing how many teams he has been in , be extremely surprised if he played ahead of Byrne-Jones , Hartlett , Houston & Jonas.
Suspect if they go 3 tall it will be Aliir , Clurey & Burton/McKenzie personally.

McKenzie was very good last year , although I think on the News he was one of 3 that missed today's game , wasn't listening too intently though.
They seem to like Burton if he can ever get his body right , could be a good player.
They were talking a few weeks ago that one of Bergman , Jones , Mead could possibly debut Round 1 so plenty of time yet (although I suspect most line coaches are positive about the kids this time of year)
Port are a team that are very hard to find where the spot comes for anyone.
From the prelim side Ebert has retired. They've added Fantasia who would take that spot if he's fit (even if it's rearranging pieces to work it I expect Butters more midfield and Fantasia closer to goal.
After that probably the last guys picked would be Ladhams/Marshall (structural) and then you've got Burton who seems to be best 22 when fit, Motlop who is an enigma and SPP who has played most games in the last 4 years. Then would be Amon (became a very good player last year), Hartlett (senior leader) and McKenzie (very solid season but would be under siege still).
None of those guys are bad players so you need to take their spot by force which would be a great sign if any of the kids pull it off.
