Pretty much agree entirely. Played a lot of roles, that purple patch was mostly on the wing. He's got a lot of really positive attributes, especially speed and kicking, but he certainly floats between roles and is better at some than others.
His lack of contested ball winning ability, to date at least, holds him back a bit in SC, especially in such a strong team where there's a lot of targets. Think ultimately he's too risky a pick, kind of guy you take a couple of rounds early in a draft league because I think he improves more likely than not but at his price he pretty much has to move to keeper level and that wing type or even rebounding defender is very difficult to get there with if you're not doing at least some of the contested type of work or intercepting as well to top up.
Good player but I think he's done well if he ends up at the Langdon, Cerra, Sheed, Worpel or Polec level of scoring this year (~90). At this point he's a fairly similar type to a Polec whose absolute best was a 95 when being fed the ball a lot but has basically been a 80-90 type the other years when fit.

As a Lions supporter I can't endorse any Polec comparisons Bailey was actually a junior inside mid with burst and pace but poor disposal, so these days think Paddy Dow with good coaching. I really didn't think his transition to a more outside role was working until last season, previously he ran back into traffic too much and often panicked under pressure. At the moment he's more Zorko-like with his pace and pressure. Could end up in the midfield at some point, but this probably isn't the season for it with Rayner getting lots of mid time in preseason.
