I don’t think 85-92 is great for that price. It’s barely going to get him $100k and it’s not enough for a keeper in any position.
you might end up with that from a pick but that’s how it crumbles but to actually target that on a $350k investment is to me anyway too low expectations. At that price I think you’d want him 90-100 and even then there’s the risk that you can’t upgrade him when you want to and he becomes a list clogger for too long in your side.

Cumming , Young have a list of about 10-12 others in that price range that could work.
Save $$$ on D3 to D5 spend up big elsewhere (need to find value somewhere).
So many premium defenders on offer I am thinking those like H Clark , Duggan , Williams etc could actually be traps , score just enough to tease , but then leave you behind at full upgrade time.
If they do go gang busters their starting price shouldn't make them unachievable by upgrade time.
I have (like many) been keen on Laird , Lloyd , Stewart , Whitfield so perhaps a opportunity to see who the next 2 are.
10-12 went 100+ last season , would need to nail all 5 from the start if you that deep , assuming you leave a spot for Whitfield.
Based on scores Impey , Dow , Cahill , Henry , Waterman all look dodgy now , Kelly injured that's 6 already after 4 games , might need to bolster our starting forward lines.

I guess it depends on where you think the rookie strength is , seems on scores so far 6-8 of the more popular onfield options look dodgy , so if we replace them with bench options , where are the new 6-8 rookies coming from ?

Danger , Laird & 3.....
Cripps @ M6
Gawn , Grundy
Dusty , Heeney + Ziebell & Daniher
would leave 5 onfield rookies

Very good points! For what's worth, I've got him locked in after seeing how well the Hawkins/Cameron 1-2 punch looked. Can see Danger being majority mid then resting forward and kicking the big dogs out of his 50m arc. Should add up to a comfortable F1 (and could be by a considerable margin) so meets my goal of trying to nail D1, M1, R1 and F1 in my starting team!
