I know this isn’t strictly an X v Y, but would anyone care to estimate an average and game count for the following players:

Neale
Oliver
Dunkley
Neale - 126 from 21
Oliver - 117 from 20
Dunkley 109 from 20

The games is a guesstimate but given Neale and Oliver have both had issues in preseason that tends to lend itself to missed games in the season. Dunkley's based on his poor history but his preseason has been as good as it can be on that front.

Assuming the cash is doing nothing it's Butters for mine but I assume the cash should be doing something. For mine I think Butters is an 84-95 type barring injuries to the Port midfield (or him). Caldwell is a 72-95 type for me, probably landing in the 84-88 type range.

Butters should start well without Rozee.

v
Danger and Caldwell
Danger & Caldwell

C.Daniel & P.Dow vs. T.Stewart & Daniher

Can't afford Daniel & Daniher...8k short !!!!

Also C.Daniel vs. J.Ridley?
Stewart & Daniher
Daniel

Grundy vs Danger/Zerrett
Assuming you have Gawn I’m still not convinced going with a rookie ruck so would go Grundy

Haven’t heard much of Butters it’s really can you use that 123k to boost your lineup elsewhere so I would go Caldwell

Thanks Wogi... The Caldwell Ave estimates are an important consideration for me. It’s hard to know whether he is a solid underpriced option who will average 95 for me as a Fwd all season or just a mid priced trap who will average mid/low 80’s and need to be upgraded. Seems to have a great role, but lack of decent exposed scoring history at the level has me quite concerned that he will be an underwhelming trap.

Also a bit concerning that Butters might only be a 95 guy as well. Not sure it’s worth trading up from Caldwell to just get a 95... Hmmmm 🤔

Thanks All - some very helpful responses above.
Here’s another one:

Dusty v Stewart ?
Different positions makes it tough. Who comes on field and who comes into your 30 with each option?

All things being equal, I think Stewart due to less rookie options at present down back.

Ziebell + Dow + Campbell
Vs
$500k defender + F7 + F8

Basically the more expensive rookies vs an extra premo and the two last picked forwards (F5 / F6 would also be rookies)

I would be keeping Ziebell and Campbell, Campbell although on the expensive side is one of the best rookies we have this year in terms of scoring potential and job security.
