Mr Impey, are we still keen on him? only 13% ownership, but for some reason I was under the impression everyone was picking him, but maybe I have missed the memo that everyone was jumping off?
It's kinda bizarre. Very low score in the AAMI where he was subbed so that probably spooked a few. But in terms of JS and a decent role, I'd probably be more inclined to pick him over someone like Cahill

That’s what you call an attacking player lol. His role is play forward and midfield in his half but not the other half
The reality of the modern game is every player covers at least 1/2 to 3/4 of the field. But in the case of Dusty, it does demonstrate that his role is more forward than midfielder

I have Scott, Dunkley, Macrae and Grundy playing tonight.

Made the last minute switch of Steele to Macrae.

Anyone got an opinion on Brockman vs McNeil as m11? Have all the other rookies.

After having a night to think about it i'm okay with Cripps, he showed he can still be elite in that first half and was underscored for it imo. But he also only cost 523 thousand - if he becomes a solid m7/8 at 105 then thats easily a good pick to me. This doubles when you factor in that there is/was a huge upside in picking him and he could go 110+.
Yeah, not much to go on after one game. Long season. He's also an easy downgrade to a Heppell or Rowell et al. if he flops and one of them goes well. Only problem there is how many correction trades you need elsewhere. I think he'll be alright.
Interesting to see what happens with Williams in...
He also played the best team in the comp.

I've read a fair bit here from posters who saw the game - thanks so much for the insights.

The main guy I'm interested in season long is Walsh: great tank undoubtedly but did he look damaging to the eye? 32 disposals for 120 odd is good, but not amazing. Sure, it's not Gaff and Matt Crouch territory who on those numbers barely scrape 100, but neither is it in the land of the really damaging mids.

Compare him with someone like Bont who since 2019, when getting 30 or more possessions, has averaged 143. Do we think Walsh will be able to accumulate his way to a 110 average? Or will the down games with 24 disposals for 85 points drag him?
Yes he looked very damaging and was everywhere. He made a few mistakes, could have finished on 140-50. 110 may be a stretch this year, but not for the next few years. I actually said wow aloud whilst watching last night. There was one play where he was involved in an attack, basically near the goal square. Within a minute he was digging out a handball in defence, I had to do a double take to make sure it was him. Put aside Supercoach, this young man not only has the skills but has the smarts also. Will have a long career as Carlton captain, I would be rapt to have him.

As for SC, I'm spewing I didn't pick him as he was in my team from the start. Kudos to those that had the foresight 👍
