My 2c on the Gulden / Powell debate:
The way I see it, technically it doesn't count as a trade yet, as the round hasn't officially started yet. You still have 30 trades, so you can simply write it off as a "rookie correction" that you would usually fix in R2 / R3 anyway. As long as you haven't missed too many of the top rookie options so far, it's probably worth a shot.
Worst case: Powell goes BANG and also scores 140, and you're no better off, but you now only have 3 corrective trades for the next two rounds (instead of 4). Average case: he scores, say, 70-80, and you've also gained 60-70 points.
Personally, the only rookie so far that I've missed that's worth getting in is Jordon, so I'll be pulling the trigger on getting Gulden's score on-field.
Of course, I'm sure my logic is iffy, and someone will point it out to me (he he) ... go nuts
