Does anyone know where Cahill played? Fanfooty says he played forward, but he had 5 intercepts which makes me think he couldn't have played forward. I can also only count 5 Essendon defenders (Hind, Ridley, Francis, Heppell, Redman, so maybe he was the 6th)? I know Laverde was tipped to play back as well, and he also had 5 intercepts.
He played back. The 7 you mentioned in there were all playing defense.

Suspect Butts & McDonald probably got overlooked too.

R = 1
F = 4 includes Campbell & Scott

Anyone know why Tyson scored so low? Haven't watched the game tbh.
I know he'd be a little rusty not having played in the seniors for ages but %*$# me....29 is low.
Scored 111 in his hit out against hawks too.

Because he’s barely AFL standard.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s dropped this round.

Looked very soft, didn't want to take possession of the ball at times or win the hard ball. Can't see him surviving with North having some mids to come back into their side.

I recall the ball coming his way & rather than take possession of it he tried to double fist it to a teammate, missed his intended target & Port took the ball away with ease.
Big chance he gets dropped this week I think.

That's the exact play I was thinking of when I replied above.

Probably one of those players that would compliment a strong team rather than being able to produce much on a weak one, same with Polec. Don't think these two and Hall work in a team like North and where they're at.

It's insane. Watching his first couple of seasons with GWS, he was a personal favourite and I expected him to become one of their better midfielders because he really ticked every box (albeit without being a star in any particular element). Now he's on to his third club and rapidly on his way out of there too.

So disappointed I got sucked in. I went to the game too and was on Tyson watch. Most of the time he either stood a handball away from the contest or was stranded on a wing.

There were solid reasons to pick him though.
- 2 seasons of a 90+ avg,
- 100 pt game in a preseason practice match - - Noble being a fan of him and saying he had would get a go in the guts.

It’s a bit of a catch 22 because I do want the 2 trades next week for rookie corrections but just not sure who to bring in as the rookies I don’t have do have some question marks.
So far my fave options are:

- Jordan if named with Viney
- Bergman with Bonner injured
- Sideways to Hayden young in Def as my D6
- Danger to Dunkley and use the 70k to sideways to Heppell who looked good.

With danger out for 3 I’m warming to the Heppell option. If not Heppell this week might wait.

Decisions decisions... wow it’s good to be back!

Wasn't like the pressure was on after Port skipped out to an early 5 goal lead either. A pretty damning performance for Tyson and would have him squarely in David Noble's sights I reckon.

Yeah, more info couldn't hurt.
Yeah I think I'm going to stick with Rowell down to Gulden and then just seeing how the rookies pan out.

Titch is squarely in my sights as an upgrade, but he's potentially got a tough couple of weeks coming up vs Geelong and Richmond and I want to see how some options around the 450-400k mark go before deciding which direction to go in.
