I’m intrigued, why on gods green(e) earth, would anyone trade out two guys who went all right on the weekend, for a new player 2 weeks away from being on the bubble, with a proven history of missing games? You are a gun at this Impromptu, but this is just throwing away 2 trades for no actual improvement in your team, surely?
I’m looking at long term to be honest, I should of had Sidebottom from the start (even with one week out) and Ziebell I feel is a must. Otherwise, I’m happy with my team.

So why not just trade Danger to him? 1 extra warm body for three weeks.

Decided I am going to hold even though I have Rowell. Want to see another week from Taranto (which is my Rowell option this week), Hickey, Grundy and Daniher.

If Grundy, Daniher and Taranto fail I can go Grundy to Hickey, Rowell up to any mid premium and the week after Daniher up to Forward premium.

I might keep the faith and throw the VC on Grundy tonight and if he goes big then I'll use Rowell as to loop the score, otherwise I'll consider whether to trade him (Rowell) out (probably for Gulden now) or use him to loop rookie scores at M8 (most likely the latter at this stage).

Someone else mentioned this earlier today but I've been considering it since the beginning of the week anyway so I'm going to follow my gut and have another look at a few potential Rowell replacements this week.

I have a full premium forward line so by trading Danger, I lose Rowe's score as I have Rowe on the bench who appears to be a decent rookie.

By keeping Danger, I have Rowe starting for him for 3 weeks and create a POD in 3 weeks with Danger.

Just my view and your team structure may be different where it is appropriate to trade Danger.

In 3-4 weeks, everyone will trade Danger back

The luck I had in my rookie season seems to have gone a little as I put up a poultry 1863 in round 1. Neale and Grawndy not helping that.

Missed the McDonald late out so stuck with him atm and have Rowell/Danger. Luckily, the only rookie I had go sub 40 was Cahill and the only good scorer I missed was Jordon. No hunter, meek, Bergman, brockman, Henry or Fullarton. Did miss the more expensive McDonald.

Trades are going to be Rowell and Danger to Titch/Heeney. Feels safe, just with the heeney injury risk.

Will look at Cahill to Jordon if scores are repeated and will be able to turn McDonald into my pick in the midfield/defence. Or if he’s back. Pocket a trade.

How long is McDonald out for, it's at least 2+ weeks isn't it?
If that's the case and I were you, I would be holding Danger and trading McDonald. Zeibell in the Backline seems to be taking some of McDonalds kick in's and attracting the ball as the captain, both things rob McDonald a bit.
There are a number of great backline options to choose a replacement from whereas up forward not so much with Danger, just 2-3 guys of which you probably have one or two already.

Thinking of giving Pendlebury the flick this week. Was very happy with his selection pre-round 1 but after watching his game it seemed he spent a fair amount of time forward and running out of half back. I’m a believer in only trading premiums if they’re injured or have undergone a role change and I’m worried he may not spend enough time in the guts to justify his price tag. I’m trying to decide between holding him, bringing in Boak or bringing in Walsh. Any thoughts from you esteemed scholars would be highly valued!
I consider myself more a Collingwood fan than a Collingwood expert, but we are crying out for good midfielders, I would be surprised if Pendles doesn't play a lot of time there this year unless some lesser lights really come on quickly.

Without seeing the rest of your team would there be a missed rookie you could get? Actually don't mind the waiting idea, just typically doing 2 trades before price rises and it's sometimes nice having that trade up your sleeve. Outside of Danger, pretty happy with the rest of my side after round 1 though which is unusual...

If I have read that right why would you trade Danger out in Round 4 when he is due back Round 5 ? 🤔

102 with 8 clangers , I am actually surprised people are not starting to write his obituary 😉

Was a very fumbly Pendles , so I think his worse game since the Under 2's.

He will bounce back.

Yeah holding Danger this week for now. League impact is only 2 games and if I can win a game by trading him to Mitchell in the last game of round 3, will look at that. Danger vs North hopefully gives a good return.

Think he meant by another week meaning this weekend games, trade in round 3.

Grundy, 6mins to go Q1 I was thinking I was going to trade Grundy next week, came back well so far.

This is the common rnd1 trap. Trying to make your team look like you now wish it had looked last week. Chasing last weeks points. Dusty doesn't have the same role he had in 2017. He plays mid/fwd now and goes up and down like a roller coaster. If you really want to trade Danger that money should go towards someone who gets to chase the ball around every week.
Simpler story:

I don't think holding on to Danger for three weeks is feasible.

Therefore who is the next best forward option (IMO)?

Dusty.

But that strips the magic away from sharing my anecdote with NTT!

Read it as Round 3

Grundy - > Hickey
Rowell - > premium mid

Round 4

Danger - >

Looks like Grundy has come through for us tonight, so it looks like I'm locking him in and Rowell is going to be a very pricey donut with no trades this week, unless something happens with one of the other rookies that allows me to bring Gulden in early.

If Dow keeps playing and you've got the other rookies, you just keep him, he's still only a good score from making good cash and he's actually played alright both games for patches.

He's a tempting out if someone puts their hand out as the in because of what he'd let me do to Cripps...
I thought I was going to take Grundy behind the shed, but alas Cripps will be taking the walk as my round 2 correction trade. Bang. Danger survives as captain.
