Opening this one up early. So what is everyone planning on doing with Cripps?
It's a tough call and always feels like you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
The same conversation was had about Hanneberry one year and he kept playing crap. Selwood and Swan were at the same point one year. Selwood turned it around and Swan didn't. It does appear that stoppage players have lost their bread and butter and need to find another way to spend half the game. Some seem adaptable like Oliver and Titch. I suspect Max will end up floating around the backline again. I can see problems for someone like Hugh Greenwood. Maybe even NicNat. Cripps looks like he's in this basket. I would probably trade.

Thanks for that.

Will wait for this round to end but expect I might have bigger concerns than trading Cripps out.

Might possibly be my "easiest" avenue to the R1 in about Round 4-6 ish providing he doesn't leak a massive amount of cash.
Yes he's not going to drop in price drastically but it is annoying.

Definitely not playing well , spent most of the second half up Forward (team structure reasons I guess) , almost had 2-3 marks , so could have boosted his score

If Carlton starts winning games his score theoretically improves.

I guess can he adapt to the fast paced game is the question.

Danger
Rowell
Cripps
No Powell
No Jordon

A few early issues for me there.

Think I'll still forge ahead with Danger/Rowell out, with one eye on Cripps/Dow to a premium mid + one of Powell/Jordon in next round should they appear 'essential'. Hate the idea of being down 4 trades so early, not much I can do about the Danger/Rowell situation mind you.

Very worried about Cripps. Looks like Hannebery a few seasons back.

Cripps options are fascinating , with the right amount of cash and DPP in place you can pretty much go any line

Would want to be 100% positive on a speculative midfielder or go a premium

I want to trade him already. Can't wait till Sunday night! (i'm not trading this week...need to trade!) Apart from his score, he just looked terrible.

Jordon and Rowe are the most likely candidates. Like having the Fyfe donut.... so might have to release Brockman....

Without knowing your team or cash... gonna suggest a general trade plan. (I think if you have roughly 40k the below plan could work)

But if you could somehow turn Danger + Rowell + Dow + (rookie or a failed midpricer like Daniher?)

Into Jordon + 3 semi keepers such as for example
H Clark + Taranto + Heeney. The 4 trades might not be a complete waste. If you already have any of the above then you can ignore all of this. You'd still have the Cripps problem and no Powell though.
