7/765 Grundy VC Stewart Clark, Doc, Cripps, meh Daniher/Walsh scores adequate, Clark still performing what I need which is 350-380K by byes round and straight upgrade to LLoyd, Ryan, Mills whoever has dropped the most cash.
Is their a protected zone in the rules for when only one ruckman actually contests the boundary throw in ? eg when the other ruck doesn't nominate in time.
Saw it 2-3 times last night , think it was Berry.
Sits a few metres from Stanley , moves in closer while the ball is thrown in , then as Stanley makes contact with the ball , he is close enough either to tackle him or shark the ball.
Seems to me no advantage at all for the ruckman who is actually contesting the throw in.
Bit of a conundrum.. I'm scared Heppell will be a late out, but want to upgrade a rookie (McNeil) and use as bench E for Danger (C). Dont want to do 2 mid bench E's in case Heppell plays which in turn I will get lower of the 2 bench E's for Danger instead of the premo I want to use.. decisions, decisions..
As I'm writing just thought maybe use Jordon as E as well as Berry and may not lose as many points if there is a late out..
Depends on cash in the bank. If Cripps can be upgraded to a Titch or Brayshaw then him. Neale will be fine, still be a top 10 mid so no skin off your nose. Sunk cost to you, and now benefits those who chose not to start Neale without impacting you.
I actually think one of the old pre-season tweaks had merit here - allowing boundary umpires to make certain decisions. Since the field umpire is often inside the contest, and the cameras (and live crowd) necessarily see the game from outside the contest, the fans often see things that are in field umpires' blind spots. Boundary umpires would have a better chance of seeing something happening that appears obvious from the fan's perspective - think a high tackle that the field umpire is on the opposite side of - as it stands the only free kick they can give is for a centre square infringement.
None of that would have corrected the Blicavs decision, of course...
Made my decision.. McNeil traded out for my premo onto the field, E on Berry and if Heppell is a late out, 2nd E on Jordon.. best option to avoid a potential donut.. 🤷♂️

All true, but I have enough in the kitty to update Cripps to Mitchell. Neale might get better, but he is losing a good 50 or more points to the like of Boak, Oliver, etc. Any trade will also yield me some money

Not sure if there have been any posts but has anyone attributed any form of Neale’s decline to losing S Martin and getting O Mac (who is clearly not the best ruck)?
Neale is obviously just well and truly short of a run after being impeded by a calf for 4 weeks out of of what was a much shorter pre-season. Will be fine once he gets his legs under him again.
As someone who was punished almost all season by Neale in 2020 I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t having a smile here and there at his performance over the last 2 weeks. Collingwood in round 3 and we know bucks doesn’t mind a tag either.
He’s priority one to get in my side when he bottoms out, even if it’s at the cost of a sideways trade.
I'm liking Berry... I like the fact he attended 14 CBA's last week and that role should be the same again this week, and you'd think he'd be better for the experience.
Got a quicl question, why is everyone in my h2h got Dusty as C? Is he good against whoever hes versing or do my opponents believe he'll do what he did last week?
Yep definitely chasing last week's score, although he could admittedly go big enough against the Hawks again tomorrow with their understrength midfield.
