Strategy Round 3: Trades

Thinking of getting off the Neale boat before it leaks too much money.

Through the trade of him and Rowell > Walsh? And Titch? And then sub Caldwell

OR

Keep Rowell and trade Neale and Caldwell > Maybe Titch? Or Someone of equal value, and downtrade to Jordan ?

If there are any other possible combos, i would appreciate it if you could bring it to my attention please 😀

The danger of midpricers...Duggan, T Phillips....both have failed.

T Phillips - SC/Dt ratio is <1x, he is only going to get 95-100 SC if he gets 105-110 DT. He had a 25 disposal season a few years ago where he only averaged 90SC.

Duggan...has failed to deliver the midfield boost even with so many mids currently out (Yeo, Shuey). 27SC from 12 disposals at half time is pathetic.

Trades for R3:
Phillips to J Short, Duggan to Ridley. Both look good for 110SC. Will just have to hold Cripps for a while.

Looks like I'm going to have to take a bit of a sideways step and bring Jordan in as another must-have rookie.

Trades will likely be Rowell and Fullarton for Gulden and Jordan, with my team sitting on $500k+ ITB for a week before I can complete the Rowell correction after round 3.

Someone needs to go for Jordon, probably Scott who might get dropped. Might grab an additional defender for Cripps, maybe Ridley and play Laird in the midfield.

Ridley in hindsight was an obvious pick but I wanted to keep my $500k defenders to a minimum so skipped on him in favour of Short (who has worked out well so far as well). Doing all the kick ins for the Bombers and basically is their only marking defender right now and main conduit out of the backs.

I'm also tempted by Bowes and a bit of cash, Bowes has looked like a mini Lloyd so far this season.

If I had nothing to do I'd probably have a flutter on Tex. I could actually switch Dow for him after I made some coin cashing out Danger last week.

Unfortunately I really need to make a couple of rookie corrections before Rd3 so sadly won't be boarding the Tex Express.

Got $180K in the bank, don't have Jordan / Warner / Berry, do have Fyfe / Neale / Phillips / Nank / Daniher / Sharp.

Will definitely be using the two trades.

I think I will suck it up with Neale and hope he delivers a 150+ VC in the first match of the round. Hope Brisbane are able to get home as not too sure I'll want to stick with Neale if they have to spend the week in Vic..... Will also hold Fyfe, at least useful as a loop. Nank also survives, no point shelving out the $$ this week for Gawn when he will at least drop some $$$

Phillips > Macrae

Is something I'd lean to early, but a long way to go this week.
