I picked him up last year for around 550k and it well and truly sunk my season.

He presents better value this year after such a poor season so I understand the selection, just saying he can be a really frustrating pick. Was always in and around the ball, just couldn't get his hands on it. His ball use last year was really subpar as well.

The one glaring weakness with him is that he cannot handle even a moderate tag from if i recall correctly. Exciting player to watch when he is on, but he'd need to lift his floor significantly from an SC scoring perspective to be a viable midfield premo for mine.

His main weakness is really poor ball use, both by hand and foot. If he can fix that he can push to very high levels given he does everything else well. Consistency a secondary issue and dealing with attention is an element of that.

My midfield is killing me!

Neale, Merrett, Kelly, Cripps.

Macrae the only one pulling his weight. My backline is doing some major lifting.
Going to look seriously at Dunkley, Brayshaw, Cerra and McGrath/Parish if Shiel is out for ages.

Other option is swing Laird to mids and bring in another backman and just forget that midfielders exist! :ROFLMAO:

I was just looking at the backs. You certainly can't carry a subpar one this year and I think the gap between backs and mids could be small. I'd like to see the stoppages for rnd 2 but it feels like the coaches are already working it out. Those who backed in less stoppages are off to a flyer but the contested players might still be the best trade in targets.

What’s going on with Neale? Is he injured or fat or something. Just not getting the scores I was expecting.
The Dwarf doesn't like to be crowded, lately other people seem to want to get really close to him, maybe they have heard stories of the Dwarfs past glories, maybe they want an autograph, maybe they just want to see a real live dwarf and what happens if you make him mad by following his every move!

Sorry Lachie, you brought this upon yourself.
