How would you go about fixing this side?
Focus is on leagues not overall and it's a 10 team league where top 8 make finals so finals shouldn't be too much of a problem. A lot of must have rookies are missing so whats the best way to prioritise which ones to bring in this week? If it helps last weeks trades were Danger and Rowell to Mcgrath and Dusty.

Caldwell and Cripps out. Rookies in JordOn, Warner. Next week continue fixing your rookies. Chapman in defence probably. Don't worry about spending the cash till round 4 or 5 on some fallen premos like Steele Jelly etc. Pick the 22 you want for finals and work towards that.

I think McNeil has a better chance of not getting dropped than Scott based on the game against West Coast. I think McNeil did enough to stay in their side, Scott i'm not so sure. Jones might have better JS (i'm not so sure either) but I don't think you can carry a rookie that scored 5, he will lose value.
I think you can carry Jones. Looked good against Hawks. After 3 rounds that 5 is gone never to worry his price increases again. @whydoihavetoo

I'm in the exact same predicament, was all in on Tex but now cooling off, not 100% sure on impey either, so might just go Atkins for a cheap keeper F6. Problem with Tex is that you use 1 trade to bring him in and then another to take him out later on (unless people think he's a keeper all of a sudden?) Hopefully that extra trade will be useful later on in the season...
Trading in Tex and using another trade to take him out at 450K is no different to people trading in Jordon and then cashing Jordan out at 270K.

Some of us were lucky to start Jordon, so why not look at Tex as an alternative cash cow?

Still nowhere near set on my second trade. Think my first trade is pretty simple with Sharp to Jordon.

Aside from Jordon didn't miss out on any of the "must have" rookies so next worst problem is Cripps along with many others.

Only problem is with no cash in the bank the options seem very limited.

My main options for a cash grab is to trade out a Phillips or HYoung type which I'd rather not have to do.

Looks like I'll ride the Cripps wave out.

Maybe some rookies come in but I would think that the Bombers need to replace experience in the middle with experience. Perish/McGrath/Heppell more inside time?

@Bomber18 @Philzsay @pizza safety Might be the guys to ask about how the Bombers structure up now to Replace Shiel and Caldwell.
Heppell (if he plays) seems an obvious candidate to play more inside mid now.

If Heppell is named on Friday, I’m likely to do Cripps > Tex for two weeks > Neale (right before a R5 Essendon encounter, perhaps around 600k).

All going well, generates around 200k-250k of value (ie Tex making 125k, Neale dropping 125k).

I too was lucky to start with Jordon and I see what you're saying, perhaps my reasoning was not too clear.

Not sure about others who picked Caldwell but I picked him with the intent on keeping him as a season long keeper F6 (due to his role and price). Ideally I am looking for a "like for like" replacement F6 at the price. Atkins seems to fit that mould at this point in time.

Tex needs to score at a high level to be a cash cow and why is he guaranteed to score well this week playing GC? don't we use history as an indicator of a player who's been in the system for a while and what we can expect from him? One poor score will stunt his cash generation.... sure he does have a good run coming up including this a huge -ve be for this week but if he pulls a 60ish score what are future owners going to do? ride him out for a few weeks to make that magical 150k (which'll mean he needs a huge score to actually get there) or bite the bullet and run which'll mean a burnt trade for not much reward.

I see pro's and con's for each side of the story but the more I think about it i'm willing to let this one go through to the keeper...

Hi all, somehow I am top 100 and not sure what trading strategy I should be adapting. Normally by this stage am out of overall contention and much more comfortable trading to deal with each league round.

Went Danger to Ridley last week and Sier to JZ. This week I have Fyfe to deal with and no Jordon (also have Phillips & Taranto).

Am I better off holding Fyfe and looking at a Walker type for Phillips & going up on Taranto (Titch etc) and missing Jordon? All the other rookies seem to be sorted. Am wary of using 4 trades for not much gain and am reluctant to trade Fyfe.

Other thing that is in the back of my mind is that I think I may need to get in Gawn sooner than later?

Thanks all - as always everyones advice is appreciated!

Prob Heppell to Powell for me this week bank the cash and hold firm on my under performers.. dont trust Impey and Tex could be a Viney (everyone jumped on expecting big price increase last year and it didn't really work out that way)

Could be, but how much was Viney last year? 400+? i think the appeal of Tex is he's still <300k.

Atm I've got rowe, scott and henry as probable dud rookies with few options ro switch them too this weekend, henry will become frank the tank from geelong next week.
I also have taranto as an issue, never reliased GWS were such a basket case. Jordon clarke is also a worry, expected him to score higher.
