Excellent post, thank you.

You can probably argue either way for certain players, but if you strip out all of those who performed at premium level before, I can only see one of the remainder who actually broke out last year and proved to be a great keeper (Steele).

I reckon there are 10+ that ended up being bad picks ... poor odds!
Too many more high % considerations than to pick the ‘21 Steele. If you were game, it would likely come from one of Butters, Bowes, Brayshaw and Mills. All high draft picks in 3rd-6th years

Toss up between hold or trade Cripps or Phillips. Was holding until I read story about Cripps playing with injections. Made my mind up.
Like Brayshaw but I see forward line harder to complete this year so Dunkley first.
Jones>Jordon for my missing Rookie cash cow.

How would you go about fixing this side?
Focus is on leagues not overall and it's a 10 team league where top 8 make finals so finals shouldn't be too much of a problem. A lot of must have rookies are missing so whats the best way to prioritise which ones to bring in this week? If it helps last weeks trades were Danger and Rowell to Mcgrath and Dusty.

I was wondering about this as well. Didn't get to see either play, but it seemed like there was an assumption that Scott was ahead of McNeil (including from me) ... yet their SC scores suggest that might be worth at least querying.
Watching the game I thought they used Scott as the more accountable defender whilst Dale,Duryea and Williams provided a bit of drive, surely Wood can do that and he's far better overhead, be surprised if Scott is named.

Good colour, thank you.

Fortunately the Dogs play on Friday (no relevant players in the Thursday game), so I won’t need to speculate, but it’s good to be prepared in the event both are named or both are dropped.

Makes a lot of sense.

Personally I’d look at Mills (def playing mid is usually gold - I know this year could be different, but still) or Butters (very strong side, lowest keeper threshold in the forward line).

I think if you have no other pressing issues and you’re using it as a correctional trade then Jones to Impey sounds fine to me. That’s a decent upgrade there.
Think Wright going into the Ruck hurts Jones, moving up in the pecking order of quality opponent, would be making that trade before you get stuck with a rookie at 150k.

Sort out the good rookies first, so, young to highmore in the backs.
Calwell to warner in the fwds.
Should be more money in the bank for next set of trades, dont worry too much about the non playing mistakes, they can't losing anymore money after all!
No point in replacing Draper (injured) with another maybe ruck imo.
Fix up your rookie and non playing mistakes with rookie bubble boys later as they appear.

Caldwell to Jordon then Draper to Grundy.
I think that works but leaves cash a bit tight.
