So does Cripps have a groin, shoulder or back problem?
Depends where you read and what you believe ?

On our News tonight they said back.

Earlier today a post was that it was shoulder.

But is that the "real" injury or are they just saying that to hide the "actual" injury.

Judging by how he was moving v Collingwood it could be back or hip or groin.

Wasn't it Burgoyne a few years ago who kept his broken/cracked ribs during a finals series secret apart from Clarko and the Doctor.

There’s good news for Fremantle’s forwards in this week’s Envision Medical Imaging injury update with Michael Walters likely to make his AFL return this week and Rory Lobb progressing ahead of schedule.

Both Walters (hamstring) and Lobb (knee) picked up their injuries in Fremantle’s AAMI Community Series game against West Coast in March.

General manager of football and performance Joe Brierty said Walters only needs to get through Thursday’s main training session to be made available for Sunday’s clash with Carlton at Marvel Stadium.

“Sonny had a full match sim on the weekend,” Brierty said.

“He needs to get through main training this week, but we’re excited that he (should be) available for selection.”

Lobb’s reduced timeframe of three to four weeks could see him available in round six when Fremantle take on North Melbourne, or in round seven in the RAC Derby.

“Rory’s going really well and is ahead of schedule,” Brierty said.

“He’s coming out of his brace today which is fantastic.

“The plan is for him to be introduced to running on the ‘Alter G’ later this week and at this point in time, we’re planning for a return to football in three to four weeks.”

Brierty said Fremantle were in no rush to bring back Nat Fyfe after the captain was ruled out to play against Carlton under the AFL’s new 12-day concussion protocols.

“Nat’s progressing but clearly there’s the AFL return to play protocol with concussion and Nat’s wellbeing and care is first and foremost our biggest priority,” Brierty said.

“We’re monitoring him closely over the coming days and we’ll know more later this week.

“He’ll be unavailable this weekend and we’ll wait and see how he’s going for next weekend’s game.”

Brierty confirmed emerging forward Sam Sturt would make his return from an ankle injury for Peel in round one against South Fremantle on Good Friday at David Grays Arena.

“It’s fantastic for Sam. He’s had a long period in the reconditioning group with the injury that he suffered last year,” Brierty said.

“At this point in time, we plan for Sam to be available for selection, more than likely in the WAFL.”

Well ****, if Neale is carrying a back injury/niggle I can't see him turning it around straight away.
What does back injury/niggle mean?
If I knew how serious that back problem is, then that could influence me in trading Neale out this week.
The fact that he is playing this week suggests the injury isn't serious and maybe all it needs is a pain killer for Neale to perform at his premium.
Some injuries won't get worse by playing AFL games, so the players play. But how much will it interfere with his performance and for how many weeks? Wish I knew!

Didn't he miss games in pre-season with the same injury? Doesn't seem like a short term injury to me...

Clarifying: I don't have Neale, please drop in value then come good after I trade you in.

We don't know. I guess that in itself is the issue.

What we do know is he hasn't looked himself this season. Could be very possible he's carrying something.

Looks like the 2 injuries (Back and Calf) are not related. The calf injury restricted his fitness, so I expected him to start slowly, but the back injury is the concern.

Brownlow medallist back on track after injury-interrupted summer (afl.com.au)
By Callum Twomey on Feb 15, 2021, 5:52pm
..........Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale will this week resume full match simulation with Brisbane after suffering a calf injury to start his pre-season.
The star midfielder, who has been renowned for his durability at AFL level, has faced a disrupted summer having dealt with the soft-tissue concern.
Neale has sat out the Lions' past two intraclub games but has been involved in competitive work over the past fortnight, having been restricted to running before that............

What are peoples thoughts on Fyfe?
Looks like one week so hold?
Reading JL's comments today about not rushing him back no certainty he only misses 1 week. Probably still a hold if you think he regains his midfield role.

I will add the midfield role should be helped by Walters/Traecy/Lobb all being back in the next 1-3 weeks.
