You passing on Hickey @Herbie66 ?(Nank, Ess rookie, Flynn next 3)
Definitely

Him & Martin had their chance to impress Round 2 and blew it.

All going to plan I will bring in a premium ruck in Round 7.

At this stage the watch list is Ceglar , Darcy , Gawn , Goldstein , Grundy , Lycett , Marshall (?) , Naitanui , Stanley , Witts

Need to get JordOn & Warner in this round.

Agree with your assessment. As a ruck rookie line owner I was hoping for a longer club adjustment period to the new rules.
Will probably have to start planning for ruck upgrades earlier than expected.
To be fair, if the rucks are scoring better, the rookie rucks will also benefit.

Realistically the question still is whether the premium picked elsewhere is better value in the team. I'd say if you went backs or a select few others, you're doing great, if you redirected into Neale you're probably wishing you'd gone the ruck!

Both strategies right now are looking ok, if Gawn can back up again then I think it's relatively even.

Grundy's big score this week does hurt the dream of getting him for those with the 3 rookie rucks though but most with 2 probably actually had him anyway and would be hoping Gawn produces a stinker.

The upgrade was always going to need to be one of the earliest for the 3 rookie guys because Hunter's JS was never good, the positive is Meek is looking alright and Flynn still looks good (though playing him against Gawn this week is scary!).

The 3 rookie ruck line took a hit tonight. The rookies got lucky with Flynn's big opening score and those with Grundy got lucky that McInerney was injured tonight. I still think NicNat in Perth provides an opportunity for a cheaper Grundy but it's looking like Grundy, Flynn, Meek was the way to go at the moment.

I'm looking ahead to Round 6 and ANZAC day, where Grundy will beat up on whoever Essendon have in the ruck and thinking I need Hunter out and Grundy in by then, to adjust the structure to Grundy, Flynn, Meek.

I've got 6 $600k+ mids: 4 are flying, two are doing ok but not great. So to restructure I may trade one to Grundy.
But... Grundy has already played this round, so if I go:
Premo -> Cash Cow (this week)
then Cash Cow -> Grundy (R5 or 6)
I could pick up $150k along the way for the cost of one extra trade.

There will be some dollars sitting idle in the meantime, but as a trade off I get to 'value add' along the way with cash gen my team would not have otherwise seen, for the cost of only one more trade.

Is that logic sound at all?

Are we confident Meek plays this round? Am planning on trading Dow for Ridley, but don't want to be left with a donut if Meek does not play
