It’s like driving blind trying to trade on these long weekends! Really this season is the same as last year (insert poo emoji) 😂
Would’ve gone H Jones > Impey, if Jones was dropped after his massive 5 pts last week! But too many injuries down at bomber land!
So went Cripps/A.Fyfe to Impey/JordOn via B Campbell.
And could have a 🍩 in def with Highmore dropped, Kosi talked of being dropped and Sharp locked in def already!
It is what it is!
Cripps value looked good at his price $$$ but after 2 games he looks a shell of his former self and won’t IMO be top 10 mid, no rebound happening there!

Might need to adjust my short list for mids then.

Think Neale , Steele , Petracca , Hunter , Adams & Treloar were on my BE list this round.

Be interesting to see how long Gulden , Campbell and JordOn can maintain their scoring before needing upgrades.

With DPP could be easier to upgrade defenders and forwards before the mids.
Sorry Herbie I traded JordOn in today.

Nope, not after Walters back half of the season last year where he sat permanently forward and refused to get anywhere near the football.

* Disgruntled 2020 Walters owner *

Never was a truer word said. Killed my season last year. Finished 290 and robbed me of a top 50 spot easily.

Wondering what this means for Highmore. Will he come back soon or not for a while?

Now have to rely on Kosi. Can trade Highmore, although there is not really anyone to at the similair price trade him to!

Hold your trade and just rely on Kosi this week.

Fingers crossed we see Highmore back in ASAP, and/or hope that Parks is a decent option in a couple of weeks when possibly on the bubble.

Chapman, a bit more expensive or Parks debut for the Blues, again for both, don't know much about their JS.

Well... completely missed that Highmore was out

Now likely have to trade him for Ridley. May as well take the minimal cash generation from Dow this week (If he even plays). Currently have 756k in bank which I feel may be needed in my rucks next week. Highmore to Ridley leave me 326k

I'll try and hold for as long as possible. Can move Laird if there is a good defensive rookie. I traded Hore a couple of years ago after he was dropped only to see him become one of the better cash cows.

Defender rookies are on the rocks so I’ve made my first trade of the year. Looking ahead, I want to avoid the rookie selection headaches and get them off the field. Laird a temporary move to the mids this week but will have HYoung as my D6 moving forward.

Pains me to move Fyfe to facilitate this but I have to justify it in that he may be affected by the concussion in upcoming games as well as spending heavy minutes up forward, which I didn’t like. Ridley looks to be one of the top defenders this year and the new gull of SC scoring.

Fyfe>Ridley

Cripps to Mills done so far by moving Clark to mids. Highmore out threw a spanner in the works as I am carrying Sharp in my backs. Means I am running 4 premo mids - off which 2 are Jelly and Zerrett (underwhelming start) - but allows me to cover Clark if he is out this week. Kosi at D6 (not ideal). Hope Dow makes the cut otherwise may need to use a trade there or rely on Jones.

Don't like the news I am hearing of Cripps so don't wish to carry him again. Bloody tough choice out of Mills and Ridley. I keep coming back to Mills new role as a mid. Even if he does need to move back occasionally, he has shown last year that he can score well there too. Also like his lower ownership numbers. Logic is sound so hope I have swung the right way.

This Geelong monday game is really doing my brain in.

Original plan was Jones/Dow to Warner/Impey. But I have Clark/Koschitzke as D5,6

Just tinkering I see I can go Jones to Warner as planned, then Phillips to Ridley pushing Clark into the mids which can then at least have Sharp as a floating donut. And if Clark is cooked I can downgrade him.

That however leaves Dow/Brockman at F5/6. But if Phillips does end up being a poor pick that doesn't matter as much. Also makes me feel better on passing on tex as that move cant happen with him.

I can also do similar but Cripps out instead of Phillips.

I struggled between Ridley and Mills. Ridley taking all of the kick ins swung me as a low risk. I would have traded Bergman to Berry if I had known the teams. Looking to get rid of Sharp next week possibly for Chapman or swing Clark back if he is still playing. Need to get rid of Rowe from f6.
