Parks looked pretty handy too I thought. Looked better than Williamson.

Seemed to be a more of a defensively minded type which actually seemed to be a positive for Doch/Saad types who could then agress more (esp Doch who I think might’ve been playing a bit more defensively in the earlier rounds). Not a great sign for Parks’ scoring potential but perhaps good for his JS?

Would be interested in blues supporters thoughts as he is at a nicer price point than chapman (altho far less cash gen potential).
I know for a fact that the Blues recruiting team wanted him straight in their round one side, but unfortunately they don't pick the team.
However, it does show how highly they rate him internally.

I've got no idea what to do this week. Need to get rid of Young and Dow, but think I'm in a real pickle. Any thoughts? I'm thinking maybe Young to Chapman and Dow to Ziebell, but worried that exposes me in the defence... Feel like I'm falling behind. View attachment 28255
One of your issues (like many) is you have one of the best rookies sitting at R3 and that leaves you exposed onfield in other areas.

But it is what it is.

Disregarding averages , theoretically you have :-

12 keepers
Hind
Clark , Dow , Impey & Young
5 onfield rookies

structure wise is fine (F6 is a problem) , just some premiums have underperformed.

Young (injured) - > Chapman (or Giro)
Dow - > best available (or Giro)

Chapman & Giro gives you $$$ to use later

Clark then could become a concern (if dropped) , can at least swing with Laird though

then need to improve Bergman/Jones/Rowe

sit tight and wait for the other rookies to moo

I also might wait for Parks as I don't really have anyone ready to cull for Chapman.

It might be Ridley v Tex decision for me this week (even after his price rise 😳)
Chapman , Hickey , Ridley & Walker all in my thinking at the moment.

Chapman could be a good rookie that many pass up.

Walker could still possibly be a keeper @ $ 411 k is a bonus if he does , if he is highly owned by the Top 1000 risk falling further behind.

Ridley averaging 136 , does he maintain that ?

Need to work out if you are getting the value for the rest of the season.

Reluctant to sideways Kelly , but the points/value is in defence & forward lines at the moment.

He's not getting many centre bounce attendances or being used at stoppages much, he has been played predominantly on a wing and matched up for much of the game yesterday against Salem. Even when Coniglio went off he was stuck out wide or in the forward line. He has scored at his best when he has been given more of an inside/outside mix. He kicked two goals in the first half and was left out of the centre after that. As an owner he has been extremely disappointing however it is his coach that is at fault.

Thanks for that , was following the comments yesterday and wasn't sounding promising.

Not sure whether to cut my losses now or just be patient.

Problem is I also own Merrett & Cripps as well so it is more frustrating.

I guess if they are still averaging 90+ I hold.

Hard to get a gauge on the premium mids this season.

I'm content to hold as as you said he hasn't gone below 90, if he was scoring 70s it would be a real cause for concern and he's a quality player who I think will turn it around. Also Merrett hasn't been too bad, 105, 91, 115 are not bad scores, not stellar but nothing that screams major problems. Clayton Oliver has only scored 11 more points than Merrett this season for example.

At 25 years of age and after having a faultless preseason I thought this could be his Brownlow type year. Time is running out to extract something significant from his incredible talent.
Can definitely see him leaving the Giants to have a crack at a flag as the Giants are miles away.

I thought these new rules, the opening up of the game and the benefit to players that can spread from the contest would be perfect for his type of game, it doesn't help when his halfwit coach parks him across their forward line for large parts of the game or out on a flank.

Be nice if he was played as a midfielder
