Anyone have a view on Treacey? Tempted to take a 102k R/F who gets some games, it's not as if Flynn at R3 is playing a lot...
To replace Flynn now or later? Wouldn’t be keen to trade Flynn now as he should still make a decent amount of cash, but could be brought in to the fwds now as a future replacement. See Treacey as a sort of FD rather than a cash cow.

have him as R2 and will move him to R3 if he isn't chosen this week.

Anyone know when Preuss is due back? Just would like another 2 games out of Flynn.

I went early on Jones, so looking at potential rookie options this week.

Mansell (Rich) - $102,400 DEF - AVG 46.5 - Has done some nice things from what I've seen, also made some mistakes. Just struggling to see any real scoring ability or job security.

McCreery (Coll) - $117.300 FWD - AVG 57.0 - Has looked decent, kicking goals and laying tackles. Injuries at the club surely help and the fans yelling play the youth. As always guys who play deep forward are risky for both scoring potential and JS. Think he actually presents as the best rookie behind Jones this week and could well end up being the Aarts of 2020. Who ended up being a great pick up under similar circumstances. Love the fact he layed 7 tackles inside the F50 on debut - that's the type of thing coaches love.

Jaxon Prior (Bris) - $123,900 DEF - AVG 45 - 10 disposals and 2 goals in the slop not a bad effort, to be honest don't know much about him and didn't see this game. Can't imagine his JS is great.

Connor Stone (GWS) - $144,300 FWD - AVG 45.5 - Played in two games for two wins at the club, has to bode well for his chances for sticking around for a while. Seems like a guy who can play multiple positions, 11 and 13 possessions so far. Not doing a whole lot.

Other options presenting

Go early candidates - Macrae, Reid (ESS)

Go late candidates - Bergman $158k, Waterman $148k

Already own Bergman and reckon I've missed the boat on Waterman. Not prepared to go early on Macrae or Reid. So if you're like me and went early on Jones, I'd say McCreery is looking the best of the bunch to choose from. If named again may want to consider Mansell at basement price. Stone plays the Friday night game but not sure I can take him at a premium price.

Josh Treacy the one I missed. Basement priced $102,400 RUC/FWD. Avg 25.5. His JS would have to be shaky with Lobb back now and Darcy playing well when rested forward. Has struggled to score but obviously provides valuable dual position status. Both Lobb and Darcy injury prone so should see his fair share of games over the season. Think he's played a bit better than what his scoring suggests so far and Freo have three games in a row at Optus now. Definitely an option if named if only for the ability to swing into RUC bench when we move Flynn on.

Lots of people looking to move on Gulden and I get it - he's at a nice juicy price and has averaged 69 in his last 3.

But his BE is only 51, he is still a really solid on-field option compared to what my bench is serving up every week and they play Gold Coast this week who are, how do I say this nicely , bad?

Could be another 2 goal, 20 disposal 100+ score coming up.

Just Clark to Jones at this stage. Leaves me with 179k which isn’t enough to upgrade unless I’m willing to sell one of Gulden/Warner.
Wanted and can afford Oliver, however the value of Brayshaw is tempting
Clark/Warner to Jones/Brayshaw is most likely leaves me with 6100 ITB. Would like to go Neale as he may not be this cheap again. Trying to work out if I can get him following week. Reality is I need to sit and let cows fatten, Daniher, Gulden, Powell, Flynn with a couple of more weeks on them is required. After Brayshaw I will have 7 rookies to upgrade with 22 trades left.

Brayshaw seems to be the best value on offer and I was very close to starting him and bringing him in after Rd2. Confident the kid is a SC gun and will continue to improve as he learns to cope with the tag.

Upgrade List
DEF - Mills, Lloyd, Ryan for 2 spots
MID - Steele, Neale, Kelly, Mitchell, Fyfe for three spots
RUC - none required as brought in Gawn last week. Flynn at R3 and Treacy at F8.
FWD - Dusty, Heeney, Butters, Zorko Greene Marshall are fwd options assumes Ziebell and Impey are Keepers, no rush to bring in Fwd keepers at this stage. have Dunks, Danger, Ziebell and Impey.

25 trades left ($206,500 ITB)

Laird, Stewart, Short Duggan, Clark, Chapman (Sharp, Highmore)
Macrae, Dunkley, Merrett, Jelly, Taranto, Gulden, Campbell, Powell (Jordan, Berry, Scott)
Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)
Martin, Walker, Ziebell, Impey, Warner, Bergman (Rowe, Fullarton)

Would love to get Oliver/Neale, but DEF lines has way more problems🤣

At this stage looks like Campbell and Clark for Lachie Jones and Luke Ryan

Will mean I have to field Jordon/Berry, but would rather that than take another 0 in DEF line as no coverage as was the case this week. I don't really like any other defenders as I can't get to Lloyd/Ridley and Ryan seems the next best thing.

Means I open up D/M link and of Chapman/Jones look better than Jordan/Berry on-field option to swing Laird to MID and play Chapman and Jones. Highmore back for cover would enable this better 👍

I've liked Brayshaw from the start, but just needed to action other things first. Then he had the flop, then the next flop... Did you see what happened on either of those two games? Assuming tagged by Curnow against Blues, but not sure against Hawks???

Reckon Neale gets held by Curnow this week, so if you can get him next week then may still be as cheap?

Worpel with a very heavy tag on him and yeh Curnow shut him down the week before. What is strange is De Boer tagged him in round 2 and he beat his tag comfortably.

GWS were absolutely putrid that game though and I thought De Boer went off in the 2nd Half? Could be wrong...

De Boer got injured against Melbourne where he destroyed Oliver until that point, held him to something like 10 points in a half.

Brayshaw has a not too bad run until his round 14 bye:

North, West Coast, Brisbane, Essendon, Sydney, Port, Dogs, Gold Coast. I don't think these teams tag much, maybe Hewitt from Sydney. I think at his price it's definitely one im looking at and if he fails his round 14 bye makes it not too bad to trade around it.

Looking to fix up my ruck problem, currently have Gawn, Flynn and Meek.
Thinking of trading out Meek for a bubble boy ruck thats averaging 130, Mummy (420k), the next time he's named to play.
Will give me a permanent floating doughnut, Mummy or Flynn.
Haven't seen anyone else thinking along these lines, so am l the smartest or dumbest kid in the class?
Feedback appreciated.

Likely Turner goes to him this week - completely took Selwood out of the game yesterday, so something to be aware of... :)
