Burned a few trades this year fixing rookies and moving on players I probably shouldn’t have (Neale). Not much to show for it and if I wanted to go one up one down this week I’ve only got $490k to bring in a keeper. Probably avoid trading for a few weeks and hope some rookies can string 2 decent scores together and fatten enough to be worth selling, hopefully by then someone I want to bring in drops in price. Won’t hold my breath. Annoying when rookies knock out a decent score first game as it rolls out after 1 price rise and then game 3 or 4 they throw up a 30 and stagnate. Gonna be a tough year to upgrade.

I wouldn't, only because Fyfe's practically untaggable. Many have attempted throughout his career and only a few have succeeded. Tagging Brayshaw is almost guaranteed to work every time at this stage in his career.
Thrives at the contested play...

Passage on the weekend I saw... He probably could have a avoided the tackle, instead turned back into it... Attracted two players, freed up Mundy for a checkside goal.

Bloody superstar

Review of options ahead of Round 6. Prediction for rest of year, current price and predicted round 6 price movement, split by uber-prem, premium and near-premium for each position. Rest of year prediction based on exposed 2021 form + expectation going in to the season. (Ignore the green names, those are just in my side).
Great chart...interesting to see the "greenest"-priced player is Buddy! The bloke that costs almost the least is probably the highest paid in real life.

Wonder if he can have a Tex-like rise?

Miles Bergman - what are owners' thoughts on him based on the weekend's output?

He is still within acceptable buying range for this round, however am concerned that he is a medical sub risk. Plus it wasn't exactly confidence-inspiring being named in the forward pocket (although heat map suggests 82% time in defensive half).

Are owners seeing him as a legitimate onfield option, or purely a slow-burner on the bench?

He didn't play in the forward line at all, was playing the same role he did in the preseason across the backline. I played him on field with zero hesitation, even though Rowe outscored him on the weekend he'll be at f6 again for me this week. With Duursma out long term and now Houston potentially set to miss a fair few games, I don't think JS issues or sub risk is as prevalent but Port supporters might have more of an idea.

So tempted to go Cripps and a downgrade, to Gawn. Probably have to consider it if Flynn is out again. Get it over with on both counts...

Burning through the trades though. Should really downgrade Campbell, (Macrae) and leave it at that. Bank the cash. Maybe Jones...

Brayshaw 482K best value mid option at the moment.
Yes, he's cheap, but he's also prone to wild scoring fluctuations. Not convinced he'll be a Top 10 MID from now on. I'd rather find the extra $50k-$100k for someone like Walsh, or spend it on a litany of DEF keepers in the low-mid $500k range (Stewart, Laird, Ryan, etc.).

Yep an on field without worry type rookie for me. Have fielded him each of his three games.
Have the feeling he will pump out an 90+ type score soon as well.

Koschitzke to Lachlan Jones worthwhile ?
If your team is in a position to do that, I don't hate it. But for most, would say Kosi can stay for now, with a 62 in his cycle he can start to make money (I am assuming he holds his spot over Lewis)

I don't think Jones is a must, just a good downgrade option this week for someone like Clark.

My team has no shortage of players to trade out:
Clark 294000 - The main one I think for me, assuming he's not back. With Ridley/Houston/Highmore/Clark/Kosi, I'll likely need to trade in defence to avoid donuts, Clark > Jones is a very easy trade to enable my 2nd trade of the week.
Phillips 388800 - Probably the other who I urgently need to trade, especially with a 55 in his rotation now. Easily my worst starting pick (ok maybe Neale who I got rid of after Round 2)

Campbell 244000 - Probably hold for me, I like that he plays early again so I can likely loop him in case he goes 80+ which seems unlikely.
Kelly 539600 - Another issue for me... New role looks here to stay. I'd say my defence + Phillips are more pressing issues.
Flynn 227500 - Please be back Flynny! Sweet 73 covered last week but not expecting Sweet to hold his spot.
Houston 514800 - Is now listed as a test.... I'll take a few weeks of 80 scores to be honest so I can focus elsewhere.
Atkins 383100 - Least of my issues, but after a 57, one to monitor for next week. He's not a keeper and I have M/F players in my mids such as Dunkley, so he's likely out next week with a sub 85.

On a personal note, my targets are:
Jones 139800 DEF - Obvious rookie trade in target this week, especially with my issues in defence.
Lloyd 596400 DEF / Ryan 543000 DEF - Actually looks like my structure won't allow me to get either, unless Houston was suddenly ruled out for a lengthy time. Ryan is going to benefit with Logue in the team, and they have North this week. Definite trade in candidate!
Neale 580200 MID / Brayshaw 482700 MID / Oliver 591600 MID / Walsh 568500 MID - For me, I'll be getting one of these four and it looks like my current trades of Clark > Jones, Phillips > ??? leave me $500 short of Neale (and 12K short of Olvier)

Brayshaw intrigues me, and I would like to save the money there, but like many I think I'm just going to grab Walsh who I am pretty comfortable on as a player. (y)
