He has actually had almost exactly 1:1 ratio for FF and FA for his whole career. This year with 6:18 so far you could argue that he is 8ppg underpriced just on free kicks.
Probably gets some retaliation frees to help balance it out I guess. :LOL:

It's just those silly frees that really a player in his 30s should've cleaned up by now. Discipline has been an issue and often gets brought up in broadcasts, not just this year but in past seasons. If you take someone like Jacrae (to pluck another name out of the air) he has a career average of 2.5 FF/FA. So 1:1 for a star of the comp isn't much of a selling point. Don't worry I won't bring up Jelwood. :giggle:

Zorko is also currently leading the entire comp in clangers, probably all that kicking under pressure. So if can clean these areas up a bit he can be an ever better selection in 2021 for the price right now.

Add in the fact he's captain, it's actually pretty poor behaviour!
Will review with gusto!

Relatively secure you'd think, also good upside. However at this stage of the year you really want to avoid these extremely pricey rookies.

A top end rookie in Gulden to Robertson is only like 80k profit
Thanks for your thoughts. I’m facing Lazzaro or Brockman on field at the moment with McNeil as backup. Thought Deven would bring some stability/price increase and points in that position. Have 23 trades left after trading in Sidebottom for Dunkley. Trying to be frugal with them whilst waiting for further value upgrades hopefully next week.

Am looking at brockman to Robertson myself! I have 3 less trades then you and think it’s fine to do it. Should get to 300k comfortably and an easy 180k to be made for a downgrade
Not sure the Bergman mcreery and rowes of the world will hit his heights money wise
We need a bit of spark in our forward rookies and with Neale out he could potentially give us a 70-90 average over the next 6 weeks imo which is much better then the 30-60 we are getting at the minute through high variance

Agreed. Can’t face the thought of Brockman etc on field so will run the gauntlet and get Robertson in for Lazzaro provided he is selected. Thanks for your comments, sometimes you think you are the only one mulling over these sorts of decisions until you read that there are others with the same situation.

Any Hawks supporters can shed some light on when Brockman could return? Given he was previously "mentioned" and not necessarily "omitted"?

There seems to be a lot of people not sure who to select this round. My theory, if you're not sure if you should select someone, rule them out. Makes things much easier. It might not be the winning strategy, but at least you don't regret a bad pick as much. Nothing worse than bringing in someone you are not sure about and for them to be a dud.

It's the rolling team selection that's the issue, you lock one trade in, then selection news has you running for cover.

Bit stuck on trades this week, due to limited funds, cant bring 2 solid premiums in for dunkley and gulden

atm have looked at

Dunkley -> walsh
gulden -> stringer (cheap, easy run, POD, gonna screw me though)

Dunkley -> zorko
gulden -> hind/bolton (dont like this option as much, as not confident on any of em being keepers)

dunkly -> walsh
gulden -> macrae ( 250k to go chapman to someone next round)

And it's striking again this round with Dunkley in the first game which means you need to make the call on Friday.

Positive is we know Farrar, Macrae, Highmore, Frederick and Robertson by that game and also most of the rookies. Negative we don't know Bosenvulagi. The Sunday teams not terribly important though.

Personally I've narrowed my trades down to a small handful.

1. Flynn Out - If he doesn't play then I'm grabbing Farrar for Dunkley and Gawn for Gulden.

2. Flynn In - I think I still grab Farrar for Dunkley. Then tossing up between Robertson, Macrae and Bosenvulagi for Gulden or possibly Highmore for Chapman but probably will wait for Frederick/Murphy next week. But will almost certainly double down this week with the expectation that Gawn has to come in next week if it isn't this week, can't rely on Flynn at this point and not expecting a Gawn stinker to change the equation! Positive is even with Flynn in I can get Gawn if Flynn has a mare as will know if Treacy is playing before Gulden/Campbell lock out.

I will take the rookies as they come but I will basically plan for 2 down and then 1 down, 1 up for the next few rounds if possible so would prefer Flynn is in this week. If not then I start getting forced into next weeks rookies that right now I don't love, Frederick played great but the JS is sketchy if he can make the 6 weeks you really want. Murphy and Rantall are maybes that might not even exist after teams are named. I personally think Farrar is a very strong rookie that's worth the premium. Robertson probably similar and his role could improve substantially depending on how Brisbane handle Neale and Macrae if named is a chance but haven't loved his games and then Bosenvulagi is the question, I think his JS is similar to Robertson but Robertson probably better scoring potential, just not sure it's 50k better or even the 100k on Macrae!

I know if that was my forwardline it would be my biggest issue by far, relying on Scott and/or Rowe each week is not a good position and Macrae does not help that equation. Which means of the options you like the Zorko one is by far the best though and think you have to gamble on a cheap forward option (Hind, Atkins or Bolton stand out) as you're kind of in a desperate spot right now. Sadly you've got like 3 forward and 4 back upgrades that are needed on top of the two midfield upgrades and the back upgrades aren't coming cheap!

I'm in a similar position but I wouldn't take a compromised pick just for the sake of it. Better off taking a hit this week so you can bring your preferred choices in next week.
