Strategy Round 8: Trades

Will skip Fredericks. I’m trading Campbell/Rowe to Thilthorpe/May. This will allow me the link to trade out Flynn at some stage with one trade only (he’s R3), whilst hopefully making some cash on Thilthorpe and maybe even getting a decent score or two.

Frederick's JS is a worry, I'm leaning towards Thilthorpe as well.

Rookies off field or trade Tex?

Depends who said rookies are.

If you have a Berry, Rowe, Chapman on-field, I think the best play is to get them off-field ASAP.

Just realised I can trade Cripps to May, via Laird to the mids.

The best part is, this trade somehow nets me 40k. Honestly feel like I’m cheating the system doing this. Definition of a get out of jail free card.

IS the May trade a pure value play? I get it, but I don't like the idea of locking in my Defs with no Lloyd (and to a lesser extent) a fit and firing Whitfield.

I’m hoping Sloane back can get a bit more supply to Tex this week, but definitely can be traded with Port, WCE, Melbourne, Richmond in the next 4 rounds.

I’ll be holding but will probably trade if sub 80 this week.

I went with five premiums because of that perceived lack, and then traded Cripps to Ridley along with everyone else.

Now I'm finding it difficult to get rookies in precisely because of it. Ugh.

Ruc: Flynn

Having 2nd thoughts on final DEF prem. toss up between Mills and Lloyd. As cash is tight I am going Mills over LLoyd that extra 20K could be difference to an upgrade come byes. Rowe/Chapman > Frederick/Mills and 200K ITB after trades.

Think they will average pretty much the same. Lloyd is super consistent but seems to have lost the ceiling that really boosts him from a 105-110 guy into the next bracket.

Mills can post a big score but seems to get stuck with 80s and 90s more. Bigger upside though perhaps and as you said, cheaper, so why not
