Robertson was on 70 at halftime with 2 goals. It feels like we've seen his cap. Others think Zorko takes Neale's spot. Do we know Robertson will get to follow the ball around?

Zorko vs Sidey.
We know Touk loves Zorko.
Does Touk love Sidey?
We know Sidey attended the most centre bounces for Collingwood on the weekend and can also play outside.
We suspect Zorko benefits from Brisbane's injuries but do we know?
Neither gets a really clean draw to start their campaign but they both look like good value.
Zorko.

Only 1 season in his career with an average below 95 and 3/10 105+. Undisciplined but his ability to hit the scoreboard and frequently feature amongst the top tacklers come seasons end is a big positive for his prospects and value.

2021= 6th for Total Tackles
2020= 8th for Total Tackles Inside 50 (9th for Tackles per game)
2019= 4th for Total Tackles (1st Total Tackles Inside 50)
2018= 4th for Total Tackles (2nd for Tackles per game)
2017= 8th for Total Tackles (6th for Tackles per game)

Prefer to wait another round or 2 for Sidebottom.

I'm $20k short of both. 🤨

If you go by history surely Sidebottom at the very least matches Zorko.

The only reasons I can argue for Zorko over Sidebottom would be the stability of role, and playing in a strong overall side, albeit both are quite significant factors.

Sidebottom also has a marginally lower BE this week at 67.

Jack Ziebell, he is in unchartered territory both from a price and scoring perspective. I would hate to put a cap on what he can achieve for the rest of the season, but logic suggests this scoring can't continue and he is getting towards the top of his price cycle....

SC gold has him topping out in price around the 650k mark, which just seems silly, yet here we are.

Are those people out there, who have maybe been a bit conservative on trades, looking to cash Ziebell in over the coming weeks? Turn him and a rookie into two premiums? Maybe for a bottomed out Dusty/Heeney/Marshall/Butters/titch/May as examples? Do we see any merit in the move?

So with Dunkley and Danger out of the frame until late season, who are the top 6 averaging forwards from this point?

I'll go:

Ziebell
Dusty
Zorko
Marshall
Butters
Sidebottom

Tier 2 might be:

Tex
Impey
Bolton
Hind
Heeney
Atkins

Think JZ goes on to be number 1 forward. Insane role. Durability the obvious concern but we can't predict an LTI. More likely to miss one or two later in the season.

There's probably a key forward who's going to go on a run a la the one Tex has just had....the new rules have seen scoring from key forwards up across the competition. Tex went from zero to 6-week hero this season. Would like to know who that key forward is or are if its more than one.

North Melb.
Here's one to keep an eye on if he's switched to the backline permanently

Youngster Jake Riccardi responded well to being omitted by senior coach Leon Cameron registering a game-high 19 marks and 40 disposals playing in a new defensive role.
Key word highlighted as you note. The best forwards this year are the ones that are actually defenders .

He certainly fits the bill, and has done it before under more onerous conditions in terms of rules. I like your thinking even if he doesn't end up being it.
Two others that could be interesting are Charlie Dixon and Tom Lynch. I'd have Darling ahead of both, but Lynch looked like he found some mojo on the weekend and Charlie feels like a slumbering giant at the moment..

Tomahawk perhaps?

At a very affordable 452k and projected to drop even more over the next few weeks.

Went on a 6 game streak from round 10 last season without dipping below 100 and averaged 137.3 over that time.

If Hawkins, Hogan, Cameron, Lynch, Darling, Heeney, Rozee and Dixon are up for discussion what about Aaron Hall. I watched all round 4 match against Adelaide and really liked his game down back with Ziebell. Round 5 started well again and at the start of second quarter got KOed which left him with 37 points. Missed round 6 because of being KOed and back again playing round 7 like he was round 5 and start of round 6. Breakeven 105 this week so 1 more look at him before deciding about a $410,000 price range he will be if scores about 100.
