Tom Phillips...what to do with this bozo?

Have held off Sidey and Zorko last week, and will continue to bank on them being low 90s players who might start picking up old man niggles later in the year. Half contemplating either Hind or Atkins at low 400s with a projected average of 90, so a gain of 15-20ppg for $50k.

People have mentioned Heeney when he bottoms out at $300k as a possibility...maybe pick up both Heeney and Walters for cheap as F6 and F7 and loophole them.

Thoughts?

Flynn to RCD via dpp
Chapman to May

I’m resigned to trading out Flynn as it allows me to move Rowe to the bench due to Treacy and Waterman taking up F7 and F8.
I reckon Flynn has one more game for $40k+ before the byes - I expect Mummy to play Rds 8, (Flynn 9), 10, 11, bye, 12, 13 based on Mummy playing two games in a row followed by a rest. It's tempting to go early on Flynn as he's an off-field rookie that has some value.

Other factor is Mummy is old, has had major durability problems and could turn back into a potato at any time.

The negative is that Preuss is back around the byes barring a setback.

Surprised this guy hasn't been mentioned

$ 415,700.00 Forward

67 , 85 , 121 , 85 , 96 , 70 , 97
I almost brought him in after that Rd 3 score, he was on my short-list of 5 players to bring in for that round, but been busy fixing other lines since and hadn't considered him since. I was seriously considering both him and Jiath that round, but to be honest I expected both would put in more variable scores than they have to date. Both would have been really good selections it turns out, couldn't quite afford to bring in both at once, and ended up getting neither.

Yep, Flynn definitely has more money to make. But at the moment I’m willing to sacrifice an additional $40-70k that Flynn will probably make, to get Rowe to F7, as I’m currently stuck with Waterman and Treacy at F7 & F8.

If I could find a forward or mid I prefer over May for less than $480k, I’d hold Flynn but I just don’t like any of them more than May.

The simple fact is that Teague genuinely seems to think he can play forward and not be awful, Walsh has clearly passed him as their best and most important midfielder, and he's been consistently bad since Teague took over.
Re. Cripps forward: he had more CBAs than Walsh on the weekend. He looks cooked. Has been run into the ground carrying that team for too long. Bigger problem is he’s in my team.

Heeney at 310k seems reasonable given he has an established track record of output that would be acceptable in a FWD this year.
Some will baulk at this, but I'm keeping an open mind in Jordan De Goey, he should drop to around 270k or so(?)
The balancing act is having options to Marshall, Dangerfield, Butters types - guess that can be an option to look at after Heeney has recouped some value if you don't see him hitting the heights.
See what others say, I find the forwards a bit tougher to gauge this year.
See their deficits more than their strengths.

Maybe he's still not over the back thing (did that ever get specified more precisely?).
Went at about 10 clangers a game on average over the last two rounds, I think, and some were really costly turnovers that led to opposition scores.
Will have seen him haemorrhaging points, but a count that high seems unsustainable (which would be a good thing for owners), he surely has to revert to more usual levels.

Haha, curiosity got the better of me, had to search him.

Be interesting to see how long he can keep his scoring up.

Certainly a heap of options in the forward line this season , nice to see some variety for a change for those willing to look and take a punt on some lesser proven names.

Good luck to those that look and find something different.

Chapman to Frederick and Gulden to Daniel/May. Have Powell and Jordon to field in the mids, don't need Gulden anymore.

Pretty standard trades this week. Only real choice to make is May or Daniel. Leaning towards Daniel, was in my original team for a reason still think he's a top 5-10 DEF guy. Maybe I just enjoy the pain.

$220,600 ITB (21 trades left (before any this week)

Stewart, L Ryan, Laird, Short, Duggan, Chapman (Mansell, Highmore)

Macrae, Oliver, Merrett, J Kelly, Taranto, Powell, Jordon, Robertson(Scott, Berry, Sharp)

Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)

Zeibell, Martin, Walker, Impey, Warner, Bergman(Rowe, Fullarton)

Some serious concerns about how long Ryan will be out. Walker is a problem, but not as big as Chapman and L Ryan.

Thinking, I might just cut my losses on Ryan after only getting one game out of him saddly.

Thinking:

L Ryan to Lloyd
Champan to May/Daniel

Getting Lloyd means the big miss is Ridley, but may be able to do something around the byes with Duggan if possible.

Any other thoughts?

Anyone considering trading out Walker ?

Has made his cash and feel like he’s closer to 80 for the rest of the year.
Have little trust in Tex. Am aiming to keep him for one more week and straight swap for Martin. The gamble being that Dusty goes down more this week than Tex does.

Never ever thought it would come to this , but have found the man to revitalise , rejuvenate , refresh and reunite my enthusiasm for the rest of the season.

That man is Jake Stringer 😀

Fantasia - > Stringer
Gulden - > May via Laird

rookie downgrade next week then pump $$$ into JordOn , Powell & Warner at the right time

I'm back 🤗🤗🤗

D6 is Mansell , F6 is McCreery but who cares the other 20 will do the job.
Team now is :-

STEWART , RIDLEY , LLOYD , MAY , DANIEL , Mansell / Highmore , Jones

MACRAE , BOAK , MERRETT , LAIRD * , ZORKO * , CRIPPS , Powell , JordOn / Berry , McNeil , Fyfe *

O'BRIEN , MUMFORD / Flynn

ZIEBELL , D MARTIN * , IMPEY , STRINGER , Warner , McCreery / Rowe , Fullarton *

Hopefully can get at least $ 100k each out of Berry , McNeil & Rowe when I downgrade them.

That money will then be used to upgrade Powell , JordOn & Warner (hoping they all get close to $ 375+ each)

Flynn's money will upgrade Mumford

D6 - no idea
McCreery to de Goey with change 😀 or Heeney

that's the plan , baby steps
