Unsurprisingly, what happens with these "value" choices is you either end up having a good experience where you feel you've got value, where you might have made 50k, and got some good scores, even though they threw a couple of average ones. And the next time they're cheap you think...."maybe"....
Or
You take one and they score consistently badly and you sell them after 4 weeks with no value gain, and swear "never again"
In my history, I have looked at Stringer, thought "he's going to get midfield minutes and he's priced for a forward pocket, giddyup". And I got forward pocket scores and quietly tiptoed away a month later. So he's in the never again basket.
There are still plenty of options I haven't tried and a few who have gone well for me (Charlie Curnow, when will you be back?). So given that, when I look at Stringer vs Tom Lynch coming off a 100..
