Chapman and Rowe out for Freddy and Bolton for me if I decide to bring him in. Leaves me needing 1 def 3 mids and 2 fwds with 20 trades and some decent rookies still to cash out. Been looking for some value picks to help finish my team and leave me with a few trades for injuries.
You're in a good spot! Definitely sound like good trades for your position. Good luck!

That's pretty much the driving force behind my plans this week. May is good value but the 20-30 point scores are killing me so a forward will definitely provide more bang for my buck!
Yeah I’m skipping May hoping Houston gets down to around $400k instead or wait for Whitfield later on.

Three premierships, three Norm Smiths and a Brownlow ain’t bad.
Only one behind Matthews.

Coleman v a Brownlow.

No Normies around in Matthews day , would still have Matthews clearly in front.

91 goals in 1977 and didn't win the Coleman (Hudson 99 goals) , far out Ave 27.1 disposals for the season

Only 8 B&F

In the AFL era - I currently have him fifth at the end of 2020.
GAJ, Dunstall, Lockett, Franklin, Martin. This is post Matthew’s obviously.

If he wins a fourth norm Smith (reasonably likely at this point) - he shoots straight up to second and would have GAJ in his sights.

My trading plan has me in round 11 leading into the byes with something like:

D: Stewart, Ridley, Mills, Laird, May*, Cumming

M: Macrae, Walsh, Fyfe, Oliver, Zerrett, Titch*, Brayshaw*, Powell

R: Gawn, Grundy

F: Dusty*, Ziebell, Zorko, Impey, Atkins, Warner

11 trades left 😬
Players marked * are subject to change. This is a rough guide.

Hopefully I'll be able to turn Cumming into Whitfield and Powell/Warner into premos in just 4/5 trades so I can ride out the season with 6/7 trades. 10 rounds with 6 trades left could be quite a thrill.

Current trade plans:

Chapman to Stewart
Walker to Bolton

Chapman out is a no brainer with his injury. Stewart is possibly a bit over priced and I know I'm paying a premium on him. Might not be smart to overpay in a line which is meant to be the high scoring line, but has nobody even averaging 110. Probably better to grab May, but that R14 bye is already looking potentially nasty. Also I think skipping May might end up being a POD move, as I expect a lot of others near the top will bring him in. Could be the wrong move, just something is telling me to avoid May, and I have learned when I'm not entirely sure on a keeper to avoid them. I'm sure that I will want Stewart in my final team - there's not many I can say that about, so he's in.

Tex I feel is done. He was always planned to be a stepping stone for me, I never thought he would be a keeper, and although I had originally planned to trade him after the Hawks match based on his draw, Dunkley got injured at the wrong time. I'm still very happy with $165K profit plus some nice scores. If he proves me wrong and stays a top forward from here, so be it, history says otherwise and I much prefer Bolton to score at that level more consistently. I was hoping to keep Bolton quiet, but there has been a bit of chat on him in the last few pages, so figured I may as well add my name to that list. He is probably the forward I am most confident in out of a bad group.

Yes I'm chewing through trades and cash, I will have $60K left after these trades, so likely a double down next round, unless I need to sideways trade another injured premium. Looking like I'll be starting the NTL thread not long after the byes at this rate, but based on my calculations I should still get close enough to full premium with a trade or two to spare if I can catch a break with injuries, which should happen around the byes.

Has anyone started looking at Bye structure when deciding which Premiums/PODs to bring in?

Round 14 is an absolute bloodbath (STK MEL ADE COLL FRE SYD), so has this affected any decision for any of you guys?

Mindful about trading in any premiums in this round atm.. May is on that list, if he wasn’t R14 it would make it hellova lot easier

Yes am planning for byes or at least attempting to. I could have gone May this week but will not be because I will end up with too many Rd 14 players. Rookies also relevant during byes as you need them on field to support the missing premos. Eg wondering if Poulter could be worth go if he goes alright this week. Not sure about JS but he could be on field rd 13 and 14 and then traded back into a keeper that has already had their bye. Same reason I am tempted to keep S Berry.

And if Covid could force an early bye round for Melb or Collingwood that would replace their Rd 14 bye without causing any other serious harm then that would probably be the only good thing it has ever done.

With only $5k in the bank, have decided to double downgrade this week.
Chapman > Frederick
Rowe > Murphy

Taking Frederick for a quick cash grab, hoping he can make $150k over the next few weeks before his Rd 12 bye, whilst taking Murphy for his JS, hoping he too can make close to $150k before his Rd 14 bye.

Backline looks weak this week, but planning to upgrade Kosi next week, possibly to Lloyd. Also have Laird to put back there when needed as well.
