thinking similar on bolton (vs zorko) and then Martin R10 even if he is 95 from here.

Dont know a lot on Bolton, is midfield time more permanent with dusty and cotchin when they are back. Prestia maybe the wild card.
Because there are no standout forwards that I am targeting this week, Bolton is my choice, as he has the lowest BE and the lowest priced, which gives me more money in my bank. His scoring this year isn't too bad, but he has the potential to play more midfield, where he can score quickly. He may rely on injuries to play midfield, but he really impressed last week when played mid, hopefully that helps him to get more games there.
The thing is, all the forwards that I like have issues.

Fred vs Murphy vs Murray.

I guess I value JS over cash gen, would be a D7/8.

For JS I would rank them:

Murphy
Fred
Murray

Murphy has done some good things and more importantly, some that a coach absolutely loves (courageous marks, pressure, etc) and I wouldn't underestimate the impact of a rookie that is doing good things in an awful team.

Fred has shaky JS but is scoring well while in, and has taken his opportunity meaning if other injuries pop up he's definitely on the radar.

Murray took a while to crack in and was thrown around a bit on the weekend with some time up forward. Think he falls out of the team in the next few weeks so don't think he plays long term or makes any real cash.

Thanks, mate. Good stuff.

Would have to agree that Murphy has the better JS.

A couple other considerations on Fred:
- Extremely low breakeven means if he scores another 80 he will make $80k. If he gets dropped next week, it's undoubtedly a poor result but not a complete disaster so it's somewhat derisked
- one of the players he might get dropped for is Jones, which would make that eventual exit position pretty easy. No guarantees obviously.

Hmmm, that's what I'm tossing up, do I want better Job Security, or potentially to make more Money

Robertson or RCD this week?
If Robertson, then likely Kosi -> RCD the following week.

Robertson would be for short term on field score / long term bench cover.

RCD would be for cash cow / possible long term bench cover.

Risk is going early on RCD, but the gain is using 1 less trade down the track and having Kosi for a bit longer.

I think the ship has sailed on Robertson, $255k for what is essentially a rookie (albeit one of the better scoring ones) is money that can be invested elsewhere, specifically when we have someone like Heeney who could hit $300k in the next couple of weeks if you're interested in taking a risk on him if he shows a return to form with Franklin also coming back into their team.

This is what I've been mulling over all week!

I think the simplest way to put it is - if you expect to upgrade this defender again, Frederick offers the most potential for use of cash. If you don't, I'd take Murphy.

Personally I don't see a situation where I get to full premo without this upgrade so it'll be Fred for me

Yep, I see it the same. We need money to complete our teams, playing safe is not going to do it. Frederick is in for me too.

Oliver v Brayshaw?

That extra $90k could just about fund an upgrade on its own. The only reticence is that Oliver's a rolled gold premium and Brayshaw seems a fair bit flakier.

Oliver you know what you'll get week in week out.
Brayshaw is priced well but again could post some low numbers with more attention maybe if/when Fyfe gets injured. Tough one though as the money is handy.
I'd say Macrae out of those two 😂

Dale vs Hind vs Atkins vs Hall. Looking for a forward under 458k. Will likely end up as my F6 at the end of the season.

I just got Zorko last week and am happy with him as a proven option (which I favour). Equally Bolton seems increasingly appealing, especially if you think he has an improved role on an ongoing basis. My sense is you probably won’t go too for wrong with either, and I may end up with Bolton given Dunks and Danger are largely ruling themselves out with injuries.

Thanks mate.
Have a feeling that both of them will end up in my team somehow by season's end anyway
