Also Preuss is only 2-3 weeks away, so he will have an impact on Briggs too.

Agreed. Langford was tried in that Stringer fwd role and didn’t do that well imo (not his fault). Waterman would be much better.

FWIW if I was in charge of Bomber selections it would be Cox and Waterman into the 22, Dev Smith out and drop Zaharakis back to being the sub.

Have put in a request for Bomber18 and myself to be in charge of team selections, yet to hear back from Truck...😋

Good point. But would depend on JS for me. I don't Waterman to play for 2-3 weeks and then be dropped. Doubt he would make enough money to be worth a trade out at that point.

I'm already worried McCreery will be dropped this week and his cash gen has stalled.

So any thoughts on this Ralphsmith guy from Richmond, would be going early on him this week but I reckon Tom Powell has hit peak value at $375k with a 106 break even. Time to jump off and pocket the nearly $250k for upgrades.

I gather there were positive comments on him, but he only scored 33 (and 34 in DT). Also I think one of the comments was that he was a player “of the future” or similar - which suggested to me that he may not be a player of the present.

Given they have 4 best 22 players due back in the next 1-3 weeks seems crazy to go early on Hugo.

Murray (Ade), Waterman and possibly Murphy (coll) appear to be better options this week.

I'm personally probably following my gut with Waterman, there's a spot in that team for him for sure and he showed glimpses of definitely being up to AFL standard in his first two games.

Murray at basement price is definitely tempting though. Talia out for another 3-4 weeks.

I don't get why people want to go early on guys, have we not learned yet this season?

As for Hugo specifically, as N29 said, a lot of best 22 guys on the verge of returning and he didn't even score well, just seems a really weird guy to pick.

Murray and Edwards on the bubble, Jones possibly, Byrnes, RCD, Waterman and Murphy all still very much cheap enough to justify the jump and all I think have better JS cases.
