Bailey Dale (FWD) $479k average 97

Currently ranked 3rd for total points in the forwards behind only Ziebell and Zorko

Averaging 100.3 (last 5) and 109.3 (last 3), although those numbers are boosted by last week's 152.

Bulldogs top of the ladder and ranked second for SC points.

Currently in 1.2% of teams

His bye is difficult and has a tough run coming up with Melb and Geel amongst his next three opponents but I reckon I'd still probably take him ahead of Hall.

Good list, but overlooks players like Tex who made $193.7K if you cashed him out at his peak.

can Walters get back to 95+ average from here?
Looks like he’s gone down hill since round 9 2020.
with very little confidence in the forward options, I might take a punt on Walters after seeing how he goes this week.

His role was much better this week but that's possibly a symptom of Brayshaw being out more than it's a result of him being fit.

I'd be giving him an extra week with Brayshaw personally to confirm as he's not fantasy relevant as a forward only and his durability record is so bad.

Plus he's just a truly unlikeable player to watch with all his diving, flopping and whinging and the umpires are 100% onto his antics so he's not getting free kicks that are there quite often simply because he's diving so often when they're not and playing for them at all times. It's a shame he's gone down that path as he was a fantastic player to watch a few years ago and should be one of the best to watch not one of the worst. Not that this is a reason to not pick him

If he's playing midfield though he's a great bargain option for those needing a few. Even if he gets to 88+ he's going to be alright at F6 this year it would seem. With Dunkley and Butters having issues that may keep them out there is really only Dangerfield left that people should be looking at.

Not pushing my luck with bargain keepers. Impey, Zieball and Daniher have been a godsend to my team after copping a few early premium LTI's. Kept me in the game.

Brayshaw out would have given him a better role. I guess I’ll see how he goes this week before I pull the trigger or maybe after his bye would be a better time to buy.

Im unlucky to have none of those you’ve mentioned. Not selecting Ziebell has made me pay early on. I do however have Heeney plus Jelly in Fyfe in mid so I might be pushing my luck with these players who are known to miss.
Just so hard to resist considering their price and scoring potential!

Do you think Marshall is out of the equation this season then? Listed 2-4 weeks away so could feasibly still play the last 10 rounds...
I'd never say never but he's logically out of time at this point, if cheap enough he might be a strong F7/R3 target for luxury traders (I'm not going to be one of those this year!). If he comes back it's likely round 15, by which time every team should be finished (league focus aside), couple of weeks for the value and you're looking at round 18 realistically.

Realistically barring a miracle the Saints season is just about over and if nothing changes will be in a month at which point with the injury Marshall has and his insane importance to them long term I have to ask why they'd risk him instead of cotton wool on that foot and getting him right for next year. They've already rushed him back once this year and caused him injury, I know the club is stupid as all hell but surely even they're not that stupid?

Daniher , Impey , Ziebell were the 3 popular ones to start.

Atkins & Hind had a few takers.

Can't recall anyone mentioning Dale or McDonald as starting options.

Wonder how many will trade Tex back in ?

Think Riewoldt is $ 300k ish as well.

I got Dale in all my draft leagues (along with Hind, Ziebell and Atkins) but couldn't take him in the real thing, I had him in the 80s (same for Hind to be fair) but he's had similar roles and then fallen out of them and with Williams and Daniel well ahead and then Wood, JJ, Duryea and Crozier all in the mix it was just hard to think he'd be there all season, nevermind hitting high 90s!

McDonald I considered, I actually coin flipped him and Tom Lynch last year (both fails, obviously) and then this year I just went "remember last year, don't be tricked by that one good year" and moved on... Good old hindsight.

On a positive: I have 4 of the top 6 and 5 of the top 10...
On a negative: I don't have Zorko and he's been so far ahead of the rest since everyone else got him in that none of it matters

It's funny most of the preseason I was happy with Ziebell at F2 , then even F1.

Then in the last few days I had a complete turnaround and started Dangerfield , Dunkley , Martin & Zorko with Ziebell @ F5.

Can't really recall looking at Atkins , Dale , Hind , McDonald at all to be honest.

I had Hind high but couldn't go off the two game sample, did jump a couple of weeks later and drafted him in everything though. Similar to Dale was worried about not enough ball but he's ended up the main guy. I also, stupidly, went Cahill as the better value thinking he could score within 10 points of Hind... so I'm stupid!

Atkins I drafted but never really went much further, even his good start wasn't drawing me in as his DT:SC ratio didn't seem sustainable but he'd have been a great pick.

I just wish I hadn't gone for Cripps as he cost me Oliver, Daniher, Powell, Mills (Short been ok but 200 points...) and Impey as starting picks... Was probably the worst butterfly effect last second decision I've ever made. Normally it's just a bad 50/50 call! God I wish they'd get rid of the Tigers/Blues as first game of the season as I always end up getting too excited and taking players from those teams

Dont think theres any chance he doesnt miss games with that foot issue, not really an injury you just get over let alone as a 200cm ruckman bearing all that weight all the time.

Is it pretty much time to cash Daniher in now that he's set to lose $35-40k over the bye rounds, or are coaches hanging onto him as a warm body for rounds 12 and 14 and are not too worried about the leaking cash in preference of having that stronger bye round coverage?

Yeah my spidey-senses were tingling at the time thinking that the Saints should have just shut him down for longer to begin with and that bringing him back so soon was a big risk with how important he is to their team structure and on-field performance.
