My latest Uber eats delivery of my fortnightly Subway Sandwich.

I specifically have written on my account instructions for delivery ''Please knock loudly on front door then leave food, thank you kindly''.
For the third time now a driver saw fit to open the back gate, walk around to the backdoor and leave it on the back steps without a sound.

What if I had an aggressive dog? What if I had kids? When he closed the gate he left it barely holding the latch and literally a stiff breeze would have blown it open. What if I just don't want random strangers walking through my backyard where they can see the layout of everything?

I just don't get it.
What's next, I come home to find the postie cooking up a storm on the BBQ and he offers me a cold one from my OWN BLOODY FRIDGE?

Oversensitive or justifiably outraged?

We recently acquired a puppy, and I’m amazed at how many people (especially delivery drivers) are not in the habit of closing a gate when they leave!

Uber and Uber Eats is little better than legalised slavery. You want a job done well you need to pay people properly, in pay and conditions. Just my opinion.

Well, people don't seem to support things like unions in Australia any more so I guess we leave things in the hands of employers...
Or maybe we can continue further down the American path and have wide spread tipping so that employers can save even more while the customer assumes part of the responsibility of another persons wages.

I guess this is a rant.

I'm not sure if some comments are meant to be humourous, or a serious comment.

Some authors are probably not sure if they are being serious or humorous also.
Dry humour and sarcasm both are harder to distinguish when typed 😜
