What a joke. The AFL should be using it for clarity and coming out with a firm, if you go for the ball and bad things happen that is part of the sport, not attacking a guy for going for the ball in the best method possible, to the point where if Clark had also got low and sideways through the ball we wouldn't even be talking about it.

This stupid "protect the head" obsession that has now created a generation of players who lead with their head first because it increases the chances of winning the ball via a free kick is genuinely scary. A generation of "be like Joel" types mean this is only going to get worse. Need to stop incentivising and protecting players who don't look after themselves first and foremost.

And you can ask anyone that knows me, David Mackay is one of my least favourite players and I love Hunter Clark but like the Holman tackle a couple of weeks ago, this is actually bigger than the players/teams involved, this is a genuine line in the sand moment for the future of a sport that is very shaky right now for mine. The lawyers are ruining this game at an incredibly rapid rate and this is yet another test case.

Heard it on radio driving home but I'm sure it's online by now if I heard it.
Having said that,MMM said David McKay had re signed with Carlton this morning
Just reported on on Foxtel. PCL
Well that's certainly not ideal!
