The AFL advises the Match Review of the Thursday game of Round 15 has been completed. Two chargers were laid and there were no further incidents that required detailed explanation.

Charges Laid:
Tom Stewart, Geelong Cats,
has been charged with Wrestling against Charlie Cameron, Brisbane Lions during the second quarter of the Round 15 match between the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats, played The Gabba on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Wrestling (Fixed Financial Sanction). The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Joe Daniher, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Staging, during the second quarter of the Round 15 match between the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats, played The Gabba on Thursday, June 24, 2021.

In summary, he can accept a $1000 sanction with an early plea.

Note: I see there was a link above, but thought I'd post the text. Jeez that was ordinary from Daniher - only just watched it properly for the first time. Sums up his character a bit.

Haven’t found it in the online version but the old school herald sun physical paper has article that Neale was just shoulder jar and he’s considered fine for next week.

Tried posting photo of article here but file size was too big and haven’t worked out how to compress (or can’t be bothered).

This happens to me too, screenshot file size is too big on iPhone and have no way to get around it. Super annoying.

He said in his after match interview that when he had that shoulder operated in the past they put in (?) a bone block (think that's the term he used) which then prevented further injury.

Obviously I don't have a medical background so no idea how it works.

Essendon fans are a sensitive bunch when it comes to Daniher, I suppose it must be hard losing the occasional player when you're only accustomed to being a "destination club" or whatever.

Besides it wasn't even the worst dive in the match, how Isaac Smith got a free for "holding" in marking contest I'll never know, did the umpire think he was going to take a pack mark?

I felt the same way when he was at Essendon and it's nothing to do with him leaving. He'd throw his body forward trying to milk free kicks and I hated it - as much as I'd love when he played the occasional good/great game or two. Have always said he needs to get it out of his game. I think you're projecting a bit. I actually think him leaving was best for both parties, should have probably let him go to Sydney the year before. No need to throw cheap shots or add misdirection re. Smith.

Read the actual article earlier today.
Can confirm he has a bone block and that it is stated that it prevents further dislocations to be more specific on the further injury point.

I am a little bit biased, but ....

I love Big Joe!!!

The 'Stage' is not big enough as far as I am concerned.

Thank you ;-)

Cheers
