After missing last week's win over Adelaide with a calf niggle, Lachie Neale is expected to be available and would come straight back in to play St Kilda on Saturday night. The defensive end of the ground might throw up some selection discussions with James Madden (hand) and Ryan Lester (hamstring) both close to returning following injury. Grant Birchall was exceptional in his return though, while Jack Payne has been strong as a third tall and matches up well with the Saints' three tall targets.

R16 medical sub: Jaxon Prior (unused)
Verdict: Neale for Rhys Mathieson. – Michael Whiting

For a minute there I was thinking I'm in with a show. My "final team" is averaging 2475 and I've still got Daniher and Weightman at F5 and F6!

Now realise it's a straight 22 player average and doesn't include a notional captain score. I generally prefer to analyse final teams as they would score (ie with a captain score added on using the highest averaging player).

The above team (Braido's Boys) is averaging an imposing 2,573 (add on 127)

I am 2461.9 with captain score.

Includes Daniel , Cerra , Cripps , Marshall & McKay (all averaging < 90)

Extra 75-100 from those 5 players and I am amongst the leaders , just goes to show it could only be 3-5 players that determine your season.

Get them right , happy days.

That would be 15 - out of 15

Guy is just a machine: 4th consecutive 120+ season coming up, matching dePendlebury.

Don't worry though, the little master still 7!
This year has been his best for consistency. Has yet to go over 150 and averaging more than previous years. Last time he averaged 127 for the season he had 5 over 150 (189,156,177,153 and 163). He played 19 games that year. In his 120+ seasons, he has had at least 3 above the 150.

So at least three 150's to come then. Awesome!

Even one player difference e.g. Bont v Cripps can have a significant impact. Those sliding doors moments - not that Bont v Cripps was a moment.

Interestingly my fwds are averaging more than my backs and that’s with Mills and without Hall - surprised by that.

Fantasia over Cumming or Jiath will haunt me for a few years.

Posted a few times preseason that someone in the Giants defence would have benefited with Heater and Zac Attack gone , then Whitfield early.

Should've just picked all of Ash, Buckley , Cumming & Idun from the start (don't think Idun played Round 1 from memory) then adjusted from there.

Missed starting JordOn & Warner.

Was hesitant on Impey.

Dodge a few injury/suspensions early and save trades and things can change quickly.
