Interesting week.

2 trades and have Langford to deal with. So I either go -

Lanford > Degoey (which makes me want to puke as i started him hoping for mid time only to trade him out). And have 1 spare trade
or
CCJ to 102 Rookie and Langford to Dunkley and be left with no trades.

Option 2 means ill be stuck with daniher the rest of the year which was hoping to upgrade him before this all happened.

De Goey feels like a real trap but his last few scores are pretty enticing. Seems to be playing more midfield minutes.

So screwed this week

Copped Langford and Whitfield on top of holding Heppell last week who doesn't seem a certainty to return, and having all the rookies on my bench having diaappeared.

Also have stacks of problems that need fixing including Daniher and Martin.

Will be doing 2 trades but no idea where.

For those strapped for cash / down to one trade (me) needing to plug a hole in the FWDs or possibly just looking for some value, Jack Newnes (M/F) $301k is worth a look. Knocked out an 84 last week v the Cats and had a pretty lucrative HB/wing role (based on his heat map and what I saw of the game). The loss of Docherty has probably helped his cause in terms of both JS and role. Carlton also have a pretty decent draw from here and after the Pies at the MCG this weekend, all their remaining games are at Marvel. He's not going to give you massive scores but with Docherty out I reckon he can score fairly consistently and represents pretty good cover for both the FWD and MID lines at the very least.

For those relying upon him as cover for Whitfield, I'd be surprised if Bianco plays this week.
I suspect that he'll get a rest (as Poulter did last week) and Jack Ginnivan ($102,400 dual position) will get a game.
11 goals in the past 3 weeks as a genuine small forward.
In McCreery's absence, Pies should be learning to play people in their best position.

Played Cal Brown in the midfield on the weekend and I think Ginnivan, who had been injured, gets his turn.
Playing Macrae, Rantall and even Bianco as small forwards is doing the players and the team a bit of a disservice when neither offers great defensive pressure nor goal sense.

For those enticed by De Goey, I'd say it is worth the punt. He's in great form and will continue to be played predominantly in the middle, with the occasional rest swapping with Elliott. It's the best role for him as he is our most dynamic clearance player who is on the move at stoppages.

If Bianco is dropped and we are relying on him as cover for Whitfield, could a Bianco to Briggs (assuming he is named) be an option?
If Mummy is out for a few weeks, surely he plays a few matches for the remainder of the year and provides better scoring back-up than Bianco.

Any rookie priced defenders playing this week? :ROFLMAO:

I'm trying to cover two lines with one trade: CCJ to DEF anybody gives me Dev Rob as F6 while holding Langford and said defender as D6 holding Whitfield.

Pray that Dev keeps his spot after that awful 20 odd

I'm probably going to go with Greene to Dunkley as my second last trade if the latter is named. I don't have Danger and I think Dunkley could well crush the last months of the season; being Dangerless dims my prospects of a high as finish as possible but Dunkley could well swamp Danger's scoring. I won't finish that high, but whatever. Got to have some goals.

If you can wait a week, pending selection, I'm going Charlie Curnow at 294k will be interesting.

I would think after 2 years out he would need more than one vfl game to play seniors.
Exciting to see him back in the mix.
Personally I would be happy to see extremely well managed game time for Charlie even if it means no senior appearances this year, then a strong mid price madness candidate for next year.

If Bianco is dropped may just delete my team. It would be about 5 outs this week, and having all the trades in the world doesn't help me

I got him a couple of years ago at about 300 and he was awesome, got up to about 420k with a breakeven of about 60 or something after putting out big scores for a month. Then got injured in the first minute of a match for a score of 3 and lost me all the money he'd made.

Hope he has a good vfl game, he's a serious talent.
