Just rookies for me. Don't trust the NAB for premiums.

The guys that impressed me have been Georgiou, Michie, JKH and J Bourke

I believe this is the correct answer :D

Unless the premium was a breakout type (let's say Swallow for example), then i'd possibly take NAB form into consideration but even then it would be just to confirm my reasoning for choosing him in the first place.

Think you can use NAB to check out players returning from injury. D Beams is a good example. However I agree with Footyrulz that it is mainly about rookies. I'm focusing on the bottom placed teams (from last year) for rookies so JKH and Michie look good for Dees. Don't trust that the top teams will give rookies a decent run - that's just my personal opinion.

I made that mistake last year and put Daniel Rich in from Rd 1 :(

Agree with your list of rookies though, Melbourne looked pretty good!

Joel Tippett looked decent yesterday, still needs to be elevated off the rookie list and not sure if he gets a go when Grima returns but definitely showed enough to be in contention, perhaps as a downgrade later in the season.

Sam Lloyd from Richmond scored 49 in a half which was pretty impressive.

Fair assessment for mine. Still far too early to look at locking any in for me. Still wary after my Karnezis/Harper selections from last season - lol I'm concentrating a little more on team game plans and how they're looking at moving the ball at the moment. But have been pleasantly surprised with the form of some of the rookies thus far on the watchlist.

Early days yet with Roos and Melbourne but I wonder if he will adopt a similar plan to what he had at Sydney. From memory he did not bring in many players during the year. Once he thought the team was right he tended to leave it alone. While Melbourne is a different situation I'm wondering if once he decides a player is in he leaves them in. If so early rookies selected and performing okay could be long term season players. Although some rookies gets have got games in the past from round 1 and kept on getting them a lot of them get 3 or 4 games then drop out and come back 5 rounds later play a few then drop out etc etc.

Melbourne uncontested possession count on my watch list....

Locking any rookies in or writing anyone off from practice games is not in my plans, however Atley went from red alert on my watchlist to luke warm after yesterday.

id only use nab cup to confirm reasoning opposed to picking on ban form. Daniel rich has taught us to ignore.

LOL I just reshuffled my MID rookies, not based on his performance but due to a few guys no chance of being up for round 1.
He made it in there for now though.

Enright has averaged 90+ 8 seasons running, just curious what he showed that caught your attention?

He is the main running player down back, very rear to see him play stick with roles.
Out of all the players around that price I think that he's the most consistent players in relation to points and I think now with their mid stocks running thin Bartell goes back to spending more time in the mid.. maybe Bartell for an extra 60K

Matt Crouch is almost locked into my side. There are other Rookies on my Locked list, but he is the standout for me. Looks the goods, and I hope it stays that way. :)

Enright is great. I have had him every year I can remember. He, NDS and Boomer Harvey were pretty much my unique pod last year in the home stretch. Very consistent and durable but lacked the punch compared to the other options. Scotland was very consistent and I went to the well one two many times last year bringing him in which killed off my season. The domino effect of that bad trade cost me trades, money and hundreds of points which was my shot at winning the whole thing.
In my opinion Enright is overpriced. He will drop substantially like he does every year (100-150k) and at that adjusted price is an excellent D6. The last couple of years he has pretty much been my first upgrade. Will look to do the same this year after his first bye. Hoping like hell he doesn't have a Scotland like dropoff, but at his advancing age.....Father time gets everyone eventually.
McVeigh, Mitchell, Bartel, Simpson, Hodge, Hanley, H.Shaw. 7 off the top of my head that will substantially outscore Enright.
