Port Adelaide and @OVERKILL, desperate to make finals, record the highest score for the week to knock over St Kilda and @Markl by 26 points to cling to 8th spot. The Blues represented by @Monya Meow Meow defeat the second placed Magpies represented by @Stormzy and move up to 3rd. The Snorf (@UltraSNORF) does it again leading the Gold Coast to the 3rd highest score and another victory this time over the @aleceee led Bulldogs.

Of those battling for final spots the Hawks (@Goodie's Guns) defeat the Dees (@Ricky Bobby) to just about cement their spot. The Saints and the Lions (@dicksilverman) fall to Port and the Tigers (@Seymour Skinner). Adelaide (@manyproblems) defeat West Coast (@kennychao) to stay alive.

The shake out is that everybody down to 12th can still make it and everybody below 4th can still miss.

Other reps were @The Experiment, @Spifflicator, @Bontempele, @Cookie2711, @jaca, and @jbar.

The highest score for this week was @Stringer who scored 2673 and got the Doggies the win over the @jel led Crows. Port Adelaide defeated Collingwood with @BigRuss outpointing @Lgndhen23. Geelong were on the 3rd line with @deluucs getting over the @Toothless Tigers and Richmond.

Other reps this week were @Slammer, @Diabolical, @UltraSNORF, @Tamuhawk, @jaca, @lavenderbandit, @Bontempele, @Spifflicator, @Deeman1, @siwel, @The Experiment and @d-buzzz.

For all the things that might have happened in the last week before finals the only thing that actually did happen is that Hawthorn and West Coast switched positions in 4th and 5th. The 2 teams that were vulnerable, St Kilda and Port Adelaide, secured victories and their place in the final 8. The Bombers are well placed to repeat their 2020 victory by finishing on top 2 games clear and highest point scorer for the year to date. Honourable mention to Adelaide who miss the finals despite being in the top 8 points scorers. The fact that all the highest represented teams have finished at the top so that is food for thought for the future.

Apologies but forgot to take into account the match up changes from the original draw for round 19 (distracted by olympics).
No need for apologies. Mistakes happen. Thanks for putting the time and effort into running this. Has been entertaining not seeing Hawthorn near the bottom in some form haha.

The top 2 win their qualifying finals and earn the week off with @Amazing Bombers getting the job done for The Bombers against the @Bontempele led Kangaroos. The Magpies got over the Blues with @Stormzy top scoring amongst the finalists defeating @Dalla. The only result to go against the seedings was Port Adelaide getting over Hawthorn thanks to @Brookesy defeating @Lenny5. @kennychao kept his Eagles alive for another week by beating the @Bones led Saints.

Both finals go with the ladder positions with @kakarot helping his Blues to the victory over the @Eagling led West Coast. Port Adelaide ably led by @Brookesy were no match for Mighty Roos expertly steered home by @THCLT. For the record the Bombers scored 2535 this week thanks to @Wheedus and Collingwood scored 2492 courtesy of @Couch Coach so should hold no fears for what comes this week.

So we are now down to 4 with the top 4 on the ladder after the regular season matching up in the Preliminary finals this week to see who faces off in the grand final the following week. Good luck to all and may the best teams win.

Reminiscent of those scenes way back in 1999 Essendon and Carlton played out an absolutely epic preliminary final which ended up being determined by the top scorer in the SCS Group defeating the second top scorer of the SCS Group by just 8 points with both scores exceeding 2550 in a very tough week. In a Koutoufides like performance it was first time Carlton representative @Athomas getting the better of @Creeker to put out the defending champion Bombers in a game they will talk about for the next 22 years.

The connections to 1999 do not stop there as the workmanlike Kangaroos lay in wait for the Blues after snuffing out the Collingwood challenge thanks to 5 time North rep @Bontempele getting the better of 2 time Pies rep @MC's Mix in a game that did not quite reach the heights of the first.

So the 2 sets of supporters who have had to wait longest to see their team in a grand final now get that pleasure of doing that in 2021 SCS One Eyed Club Challenge Grand Final. As an impartial commentator I hope for a good game and wish both teams all the best but as a North supporter who has endured a tough year on the field and a tough supercoach year off it all I can say is...
CARN THE ROOS!!!!!
